for the past two years I have been trying to wick and all of my attempts turn bad. There's always a problem with the wicking. Too much or too little, cotton taste or sick to my stomach taste or no taste at all. I mainly try to wick with Japanese cotton and when everyone else wicks for me it turns out perfect. I follow all the steps and it never seems to come out right. I really want to quit smoking Any help?

In those times that people have wicked your device, did you really watch them? And before they saturated the wicks, did you feel the tension and slide it back and forth thru the coil? Also when those good wicks needed to be changed, before pulling them out, did you kind of play with them before just yanking them out? I'm constantly getting feedback on my wicking and pay attention to each and every aspect of it. I rarely have issues but am always thinking and visualizing the perfect wick job. Sometimes a wick job vapes slightly better then others and I keep note and as I change that wick, I'm taking mental notes as I pull the old one out. Sometimes it could be as simple as the way the wick is rolled up before inserted, it could be too compressed . If using ... cotton , try actually measuring the width as your buddy does it and replicate that aspect the next time

I am not saying this to be mean........do you really really want to give up the smokes? Is that little smoke devil there in the back of your mind telling you that as long as you don't really learn how to wick to your satisfaction you can continue to smoke? That smoke demon on your shoulder is a wily creature.

Have you tried wicking with rayon? Lots of folks swear by it and from all I have read it is a lot more forgiving than any of the various cottons. If you really really want this to work you WILL find a way

Wicking with cotton is somewhat of an art form.
A couple questions:
Are you using a regulated mod?
If so, what amperage are you trying to vape at?
Are you using a mechanical mod?
If so, what is the resistance of your coil?

Regulated mod.
Vaping at 40 watts at .2 ohms right now only because I've never used this coil before

It's not the cigarettes that are hard to give up, when my tanks worked in the past I gave up cigs for months at a time and felt great. It's the nicotine that gets me.

Rayon is the way to go. You put it into the coil with some tension since rayon doesn't expand like cotton, it's more robust and takes vaping better than cotton. Been using rayon for a long time now and will never use cotton again

I will try it. Might have a minor cotton allergy anyway since I Always seem to sneeze when vaping so it might be good.

I know they can be found cheaper, but for those who have trouble wicking... just use 3mm ID coils. I was given a couple of tins of these on sat(Ottawa CVE, was given some stapled claptons and interlocked aliens as well *happy dances*), I normally do my own wicking, but came in handy at the garage today when I forgot to squonk and burnt my wick.

Thanks.

I had the 500' box of rayon up but guess it decided to show the 10' bag instead.
I thought maybe you had made the same mistake i did at first haha. When people first started talking about rayon,i kept seeing it referred to as cellucotton,so i went and bought that same bag that came up in your link, because it said cellucotton,i hadn't noticed the cotton part when i bought it haha.
