so I've made a coil that I'm absolutely in love with but I'm having trouble wicking it. I've tried it as a micro coil and a nano(rda size was the deciding factor lol) I've stuck with the nano. I cut my cotton about 3mm wide and snip the ends about 3/4 inch long and tuck them under keeping everything straight and unfolded. But it doesn't want to suck the juice from the juice well. I get dry hits but when I check the cotton its still soaked, any ideas?
I made a 6 strand braid of 26g kanthal I can only get one picture to upload but it's the same thing but a nano coil and it's not as angled

Have you tried running a 3mm coil?

Fatter coils seem to wick much better.

Also, after I switched to Rayon from Cotton all my wicking problems disappeared--in fact I don't remember the last dry hit I've gotten. The important difference when wicking with rayon for success is that you need to wick it TIGHT in the coil and thin the tails somewhat. Once you do that correctly you may never go back to cotton (I haven't)

I agree with every single thing the Sarge said! I switched to 3mm coils a long time ago. Shortly after also switching to Rayon wicks... last dry hit I got was because I ran out of juice and didn't notice until I scorched the wicks... sometimes it's a little tough to tell with rayon. It's "good to the last drop"!
