Hello Everyone,
Well, got my wife a 510, she likes the smaller elegant size and had my Ego for all of two months...Tried her 510 and at first, the vapor and hit
I received from her 510 was hardly any difference then my Ego...But, it
didn't take long for her 510 to lose the vapor quanity/quality and also,
I couldn't believe how fast her battery started to run down...She has to
carry with her at least 3 batteries to ensure her 510 performs through-out
the day, whereas me, my Ego battery is great all day...I do keep a spare with me, just in case...
The Joy 510 cost about half what I paid for my Ego,,,Also, she loves her 510, yes final conclusion, we are both "Happy Vapers"
Just an observation, and yes I vape a lot more then she does through-out the day.... Thanks everyone for such great advise..

Thanks for the comparison view. I'm still considering the Ego and can't quite decide. We have 510s.
Your wife can leave at least one of the batteries at home if she picks up a couple of the 510 XL batteries. They are a full inch longer and nearly twice the life. My wife takes two with her to work on her six-hour shift and usually uses only one of the batteries. Well worth spending a couple bucks more.

My wife and I started out with 510's and have moved on to Tornados. Both do the trick, but I have been pretty impressed with the Tornado so far.

When I made the switch I figured worse case I would get better battery life. But I was surprised how much better of a vape I get from the Tornado, there's a noticeable improvement even though it's the same atty.

I used to use the Joye 510 and I must say that the only real problem I had with it was the battery life. Sometimes I would get an hour of battery, sometimes two or more but I didn't like the constant hassle of changing batteries and making sure I had another charged up. With the Tornado/eGo, all that has changed. The battery life is superb and the vapor production is consistent throughout the life of the battery. It really is a great upgrade. If your 510's battery life is hassling you - get a Tornado/eGo. You'll wonder why you waited so long to get one!

I just got my eGo, purchased from Hardass Vapor. This is very different from the 510! And except for the fact that it does not have a button that can stop it from rolling off the desk, I love the feel of it! I am patiently (not!) waiting for the battery to charge so I can fire this up!
Not so good: I also ordered 20ml of menthol ejuice and received 10ml of Peach instead. Arrgghhh!
Will re-post after I get to vape it..Yum!

eGo is all fired up, took my first vape...Nada, lol. I puffed and puffed, I guess warming the unit up? Eventually I did get the vapor...nice with Ry-4 Medium! Very smooth! And it is now (after about 5 or 6 hits) producing NICE vapor too!Oh yeah, if this battery lasts as good as some say, this lil gem will never be far from my mouth!
Has a nice solid, quality feel in my hand, even the button is tight! Excellent work Janty!
It is quite a bit bigger than the 510, and heavier.
Also, it is VERY convenient to just stand it up straight rather than trying to lay it down when done vaping (it is definitely a roller!).
Wow I am liking this PV!
Janty eGo...right now seems like a terrific investment!

...it didn't take long for her 510 to lose the vapor quanity/quality and also,
I couldn't believe how fast her battery started to run down...
I keep reading about issues with the 510 related to it not working the same after a while and the short batter life. Is the losing vapor quantity/quality completely due to the battery not being as new? If so, does it still give some good puffs for a while when the battery is at its most fully charged?

I just started vaping a week ago. For my first PV I was set on the 510 but ended up going with the eGo. What swayed me was reading all the reviews on the eGo...mainly one thing I read; if you're looking at a 510 but want more battery life, just get an eGo. Thus far, I haven't been disappointed. One battery usually lasts me the whole day and it really is smaller than you'd think, by looking at the pictures. I'm pretty sure that the eGo won't be my first and only device, but by skipping the 510 it's saved me from having buying extra batteries and/or a ppc to get me through the day. Plus, it vapes the same from start to finish.

I just got the 510 a little over a week ago, and i was a little distressed at the constant charging at first, but found it was a lot easier to go an hour without a vape than an hour without a smoke, this being while im quitting too. But beside that, i got the usb passthru and another battery and that solved that problem, the passthru batter is the same size as the long life 510 batter (360mAH) and i find generally a better vaping experience as im using that and they batteries dont tend to die down, havent looked that much into the ego but if its twice as much it doesnt seem worth it, for a beginner anyway

Good thing about the Ego/Tornado is that you will get a consistent TH and vapor production until the batt needs charging. Other e-cig starter kit's TH and vapor production will dwindle as the battery drains.

It may be a good or bad thing, depending on how you see it. You'll never know when the battery fully drains and requires charging.

For RadioHead,,,I am also a noobie, only vaping for a couple of months,,,I find that the battery is the main culprit when losing vapor and quality...Also, if you are like me and use mostly VG juice,,,,my attys need to be cleaned out more....Note: attys for the 510 and Ego are interchangable....Saves money buying 510 attys for my Ego....But, I need to remember to always clean them out at least once a week...Enjoy...
