What pg/vg ration?
The First devices I used were Kanger Clearos T3S with high nic levels and around 50/50 pg/vg mix. Decent hit not a lot of vapor. Wicking is with those for me at least for me was bad with high vg giving burn hits and low taste a but decent with high pg.

In the Kanger subtank, I use either 30pg/70vg or 20pg/80vg. More vaporl, decent taste, probably more nic per hit. Go thru around 10 ml a day of 3 mg now.

I would say that you need to stop and think about what it is about smoking that you like first. Is it the feeling of breathing in smoke? Is it that wonderful/horrible flavor? Is it about holding the object in your hand and feeling comfy with it? Is it mainly the nicotine? I use several different nic levels, and several different VG/PG combos, and several different set ups. I would suggest that you stay at a 10-12Watt tight draw MTL with a 33VG/66PG @ 18 mgs nic tobacco flavor from Mister E Liquid. If you don't have a mod/tank that can give you that then slowly up the VG and decrease the nic as you go higher in Wattage. Like 15-25W MTL with a 50/50 @ 12 mgs nic tobacco flavor from Mister E Liquid. For me MEL has the best low Wattage MTL tobacco juice for mimicking smoking.

I didn't think you could use 25mg with a .5 coil. What's you VG?
I use 50/50, it's definitely strong. When I switched from using a 2.0 ohm kanger protank on a Sigelei zmax vaping at 10 watts with 36 mg juice to a box mod at 40-50 watts with a .5 ohm tank I was feeling the effects of too much nicotine. So I dropped down to 25 mg and I enjoy the nicotine effects. It gives me a little pick me up buzz. I don't need to vape as much juice either. I only vape 4-6 mls of juice a day. Like everyone says, everyone is different but this is what works for me.

When I first started vaping many moons age, I started with 36mg of nic and I was walking sideways for awhile lol... Way too much nic for this ole pup....... Not to forget that I would frequently get nicotine headaches...... Too much nicotine is not cool as it is a toxin.......... With that said, and in my opinion, I think that a person should use as high amount of nicotine as they can get away with while trying to get off the death sticks....... Some of us folks who have smoked a long time have bodies that are so used to having nicotine inside the body that to instantly deprive the body of that nicotine is a shock to the system....... However, you don't want to ingest so much nicotine that you get headaches or feel dizzy......... So, just be careful with the nicotine, especially if you are using sub ohm devices and inhaling in a direct lung fashion. The main problem with those miserable death sticks is that they are loaded with many other agents besides just nicotine........ It is those agents that are responsible for the nasty withdrawal symptoms as well as the addiction.

Yeah. I have given myself nicotine poisoning several times. Only from vaping though. It's scary when you don't know what's going on. It usually happens when I get a new toy (tank or mod) or when I get a new juice that I really like. But, hey, if we had exceptional self control we wouldn't have been smokers in the first place, right?

lol ... yeah I don't know what the term "self control" means ............. The only control I have is knowing how to stick the next smoke into my mouth, or knowing how to gulp the next alcoholic drink :w00t:

I bought a 12 pack of beer and only drank four of them yesterday after working an 11 hour shift. And I only drank two today after another 11 hour shift. That's not bad.

I have some good friends ( a long time married couple) who brew their own beer. Brew day is freaking hilarious on FaceBook. There have been a few NSFW pics shared and then deleted. I'll take their experience as a warning to myself not to do that.

lol ......... I have been making wine for a long time and not too boast or anything, but I produce some very fine wine..... But, my wife keeps me in line and does not allow me to go too far overboard with drinking....... Heck, if she was not married to me I would hate to think about the alchy I would become lol .... I suppose it's part of that "no self control" issue that you were talking about :) It works the same for booze as it does tobacco.

Luckily for me I can take or leave alcohol. I'll go through long dry stretches but I'll also go through regular drinking stretches. If I had good stuff constantly on hand I'm sure I'd drink a lot more though.

Kind of hard to explain, and if I get into too much detail you'd be able to figure out exactly where I live and I'd be violating a NDA. I work in agriculture, processing freshly harvested food. Currently I am maintaining and repairing some very specific processing equipment.

No worries.............. I was just curious ................ At least I know you process freshly harvested crops/animals... Me, I don't do anything lol ........ Actually, that is not entirely true as I work my a*s off on my farm here...... But, what I mean to say, is that I don't have a "JOB" or am gainfully employed ........ When I was 26 years old I developed a brain tumor that sort of put a crimp on my lifestyle ........ fortunately the tumor was benign and obviously I didn't die from it........... But, it caused all sorts of neurological problems (mainly seizures) and so the Doctor's recommended me to go on disability, which I did ............ Then later on, they discovered that I have this "not so wonderful" condition called "Asperger's" ............ So, between the both of those things, I do not work.... I am physically healthy, except the tumor caused me to loose the sight in one of my eyes......... I haven't had to deal with seizures for many years as the anti-seizure meds I am on work very well for me.... Anyway, I just stick around the farm and do the maintenance and upkeep of the farm.

You're productive and happy. Could be a lot worse. My neighbors are horses and cows, pretty much. I live in the middle of a bunch of orchards. And I don't really care for being surrounded by people anyway. Makes me feel like a rat in a cage.

yeah when I was younger, I lived in a few large cities............ Denver is the first one to come to mind ......... That place is HUGE and when I got my first job there, it was a riot to put it mildly........ It was a riot because for the first month or so I had to find my way to work as I was always lost lol ......... I was always showing up for work late simply because it took me extra time to find the place where I worked lol......... Fortunately, I did not live there too long lol ........

i started vaping with a cigalike kit four years ago. made sure to get juice that had the nighest nic level that was offered (36mg) because i figured too high would be better than too low. i guess that strategy worked because i had my last ciggie the night before my ecig kit arrived in the mail and haven't smoked since. recently stepped down from 6mg down to 3mg nic juice but that's mainly because i've gotten into subohming.

frankly i don't think it matters much what device you start with as long as you get sufficient levels of nicotine to keep you from backsliding. it also helps if you like the juice flavor; best to choose at least a handful of different flavors at first, there's bound to be at least one of you'll really like enough to be your adv. also, joining this forum soon after i started vaping was a big help. i got some good advice from people here at the time that helped keep me committed during moments of weakness.

the only thing i really missed at first was the rush i'd get from ciggies; but the overall health benefits of vaping, and especially the fun of discovering all the different flavors and cool devices quickly outshined any lingering pull i had to twenty years of smoking.
