I now exclusively use the Ego mega dcc, but I am interested in getting or building another mod of some sort. Will the 510 shorty extension work to adapt the emdcc to a box mod or the like? I am sure this has been answered several times before, but I cannot seem to find a thread with the info at the moment.

The issue that I am trying to remedy is the built in skirt on the carto keeping the connection away from a recessed 510 connector in a mod. I am looking at possibly a roughstack or a vv box mod. I was wondering if the shorty will fit inside the skirt and if it is long enough to let it connect to a basic 510 mod. That ego adapter looks like the right thing, but MV is out of them at the moment and I prefer to order from there.

Isn't that eGo Mega Dual Coil carto great, Rev? After getting a few in my last order, it's fast becoming my go-to. I use them on a couple of 1000mAh eGo's, a 900, and fast becoming my favorite, several 650's that I rotate which go better length-wise than the bigger ones. My wife says it looks like a stogie, or I'm holding a baton with the biggies (thanks, dear)! I have a bunch of Mods that are now sitting cause I can't find a nice looking connection to match up the DCC's with the Mods. Does anyone know of a way to match up 510 & 808 Box Mods with the Mega DCC's that'll look nice? Plus, Clouds of Vapor is on my "I don't deal with them" list and I would want to deal with MV if I can.

Thanks for the info, Lynch.

Yes, St. Nick, to me they are the best thing to happen to vaping since the carto was invented. Like I said in my first post, I now use them exclusively. Each month I order four of them with 100ml of ry4 and I am good to go. I could stretch them out to last much longer, but at their cost point, I don't even bother trying to clean them. Once the flavor quits tasting quite as fresh, I just change them out. I tried a regular carto again a while back and got irritated with how often I had to fill it back up. I have become spoiled with the amount of juice these things hold. lol
That ego adapter looks like the best thing for what we both need and MV does carry them, but they are out at the moment. Inventory control is the only real beef I have with MV now. Instead of ordering new inventory when supplies get low, they seem to wait until they are sold out of many items before restocking. I try not to complain too much though as they are a great company and I am sure that there is a reason for the everpresent "out of stock" label on so many products. Whatever the reason, I hope they find the solution soon because there has been a time or two that I thought I was going to have to go to another company before I ran out of juice.

It seems I have begun to ramble...

Personally, I feel that it is more of 'quantity' problem. My guess is they have about 50 million parts and widgets for 50,000 different PV's and so many dollars to spread around to buy replacements when they run out of them. Then they are at the mercy of overseas suppliers for a lot of those items and have to wait til they arrive stateside, and are at the mercy of stateside manufacturers and suppliers for most of the rest they don't assemble/fabricate themselves. So I don't blame them. Do we want them to have 3 different PV's, 5 different cartos & attys, and 4 different batteries?...............you get the picture. They want us to have the biggest variety and newest toys available. My advice is to order a lot to stock up when they get your stuff in house, enough to last 90 days or so, then get more when it comes back in. Which is simple if you can afford it. I agree, those Mega DCC's are addicting, too bad they don't make one model for most 510's, or one that fits most Mod's, instead of trying to jury rig some adapters that don't look/fit right. I'd stick with MadVapes, they seem to adapt quite well to problems, they'll figure it out for us as time goes on. Now that Chinese New Years is over, inventory problems should start improving, I read here earlier. And you're not rambling, just expressing your thoughts..........

I do not fault them for it. They are a growing business in a rather new field where the supply chain can be a bit iffy. It just gets a bit frustrating when I am running low and go to stock up only to find it out of stock again. I can get a bit panicky if I cannot get what I need quickly. I have learned though, when I get down to half a month supply, I go to do my order. That way if something is out of stock, they usually have it in before I run out. Maybe someday the supply chain will open up enough that MV can do the same with their stock.
Since I have streamlined my vaping to one type of carto and only one flavor of juice, I haven't shopped anywhere but MV. I may have to search elsewhere soon for an eGo type battery without the cutoff timer though. I have misplaced one and the other is starting to show signs of it's age with shorter life between charges. I take long deep drags and need a battery that won't limit the length of my drag. I am a devoted MV customer and do not like the idea of looking elsewhere.

As for the connectors, I just threw a couple of shorties in my cart and will get the proper connector when they get them back in stock.

I have already tried this on a roughstack, the skirting it to wide and impeeds button press
