Will this battery work?

Im trying to find an emergency battery to use incase there is no AC power available. I found this non rechargable 2450mah 14500-AA. I've used google, and found discharge voltage charts and such. Looks ok but honestly, you'll never know until you get it. A lot of times manufacturers oversstate their power figures, especially with cheaper chinese brands.

ive seen other batts like this.. its some other kind of lithium, with high mah capacity.
I would order it but I would not risk a device without someone else doing it first

Woodstock huh? I lived in Saugerties for 13 years before moving to Houston in the late 90's.

I'm not sure about that particular battery, but if you don't get a good answer here, try a post in the battery mods forum. Those guys can give you loads of information.

I work in saugerties all the time dude. My parents met in Houston. Small world.
One of these batts would last a couple days of vaping in an emergency, im very curious.
We need AC power to vape, and thats sux I Have a generator but its not very portable.

I plan on snipping the male connector from the cord and using clips to attach the wires to the car battery terminals.

This is just a thought, but with the right adapters, it might get you through in a pinch.

that is gonna work perfect. but I don't now for how long one btry could last perhaps a day so your are gonna need a lots of them

I think it would last a whlie. I cant find how many watts ecig or li-ion chargers consume.
We are relying on AC power, I personally need a disaster-proof way of esmoking, whether it be solar powered or generated.

Maybe I'm reading something wrong, but I think it will not work There is a more detailed data sheet at http://www.batterymart.com/pdfs/lst-14500.pdf It shows

"Continuous current permitting 50% of the nominal capacity to be achieved
at + 20°C with 2.0 V cut off. 45 mA
(Higher currents possible, consult Saft)"

Doesn't give the "C" rating like some other batteries do, but personally I like to see a battery with a 2C discharge rating. In English that means it can put out about 2 amps. This one puts out a continuous .045 amps that's very very low. So I doubt it could reach the amperage needed to fire the atty.
