It will charge 18650s, yes. It might also burn your house down, though. Then again, it might not.

Do yourself a favour and pick up something decent like an xtar WP2 when you've got the extra cash. It'll cost you around 4 packs of smokes:

thanks, I was hoping i could use just 1 battery or buy 18650s and just use 1, I will read your links you posted

You most certainly can use one of the supplied 18350s on its own and, yes - you could buy an 18650 for the higher mAh. That's the great thing about the Vamo - lots of different battery configurations!
