Actually, Led Zeppelin is held in very high regard in black metal. Where Black Sabbath was the influence to thrash and speed metal (Metallica), Zep was the band that influenced BM. They were the first Tolkien band, and there are 28 BM bands with varying degrees of Tolkieness...
Does that mean I'm "in" ?
p.s. could you find another abbreviation for that? I don't like the idea that Zep influenced my BMs.

It's from Ihsahn's second solo album (Emperor broke up after their fifth album in 2001, Ihsahn's music is very much an extension of what he was doing under the Emperor banner). My wife had this up on her fb page for me for Valentines day. She's not a black metal fan, but likes Emperor and King Diamond. Her bands are Nirvana and the Foo Fighters (who King Diamond is a major influence of. Dave Grohl did a metal album called Probot with a number of metal legends. King was the closer on that cd). Wow... must say I was surprised. That was actually a pretty good song! Until about 2/3rds of way when the blood curdling voice took over for awhile. But the rest of it was very enjoyable and I really wasn't expecting much (as I hesitantly poised to click the link). Thanks for broadening my horizons Mordie.

Ladies thank you so much for being my V4L Valentines! Let me assure without a doubt I am the lucky one to have such a great wife and still crazy head over heals in love after 20 years.
What a perfect night! My diabolical plans could not have gone better, although I wasn't quite ready for my wife's reaction. My buddy hooked me up good, they laid the pendant around the sliver of cake and placed 2 frosting roses with mint leaves on each side and accented each with an earring. I think the weekend news of becoming grandparents in the not too distant future was too much.It was a tearfest moment followed with lots of sweet nothings and a loving punch in the arm for her setting her up this morning....I live for these moments!
Eleanor I have always had cats and dogs, mostly Russian Blues and Bombays, along with Chocolate Labs. My last 2 blues lived to 18 & 20 and now I have a Bombay and a Lab. I've also had quite a few shop cats, wayward souls that my staff adopted and hung out in our offices. Needless to say I am very familiar with your avatar!

Snow - glad you evening went so well you sure deserve it. Congratulations on the grandparent news - we are expecting our little grand daughter around March 20th - can't wait but I'd better start working a little harder on the baby blanket. Just have to figure out how to crochet, vape and type on the computer at the same time...maybe should cutback on the computer
