One problem... all contests must end at 1,000 posts per ECF Rules, so that means that #998 would be the final possible winner in this case...

Also, just a suggestion... you might want to have it so that people cannot post twice in a row, because I've seen similar contests turn into a posting frenzy when it gets close to the winning post #, and they had a Rule like that in place just to make it fair to everyone...
