@angelphyre, I'm getting my hair did today too, except I'm doing it myself. If I can get up the energy to spend the better part of 2 hours doing it.

I've been cutting and coloring my hair on my own for about 15 years. You drop enough $100s and watch them enough, and it's like "hey, I can do that." Here's what it looks like now:

It was the lighting, outside that thing would be super bright electric blue with a metallic quality.

I'll hafta agree with ya on the darker! I'm too old for flashy colors! I got enough grey in mine to make me look like Cruella DeVille! But I keep em covered with my natural color!

My hair is grey mixed with my natural dark blonde. I lost most of it during chemo and when it came back in I just let it stay grey it looks better grey than none at all! LOL

Going from a dark mahogany to a brighter red.. It's gonna take a while. My hair takes forever to take color, one of the reasons I do it myself. I can leave it on as long as needed and get it right where as my stylist can't won't cause they have to follow the rules..lol.

Sitting here with a bag over my head.. hope no one comes to the door..lmao.

I only use Loreal Excellence (on sale with coupons, of course), but since my hair is so short now, I can get two apps out of one box.
I can't believe I used to spend $50+ just for a haircut. It's so easy. Only problem, it's the only hairstyle I know how to do right now. When mom was in town, she asked me to cut her hair, and it came out exactly like mine.

Did it come back curly too? A friend of mine had super straight hair before chemo, and when it grew back out, she looked like Shirley Temple.

I'd let mine go grey, but hubby doesn't like it! He let's me know when too many start showing....he'll say...you need some help with your hair? And then he'll say...as long as we're at it....will ya cut mine too? So we play barber/beauty shop about every two months for my color and every three weeks on haircuts for him
