I notice the calculator has a place for water. Do you add water to your juice? :)

I do not. I think that's for folks who are mixing high levels of VG. Straight VG in a tank supposedly doesn't wick well, so some folks will add some distilled water (couple of percent, maybe) to thin the juice.

My mixes are 20-30%PG (flavorings only) and 80-70%VG (Nic and filler.)

GB, I started DIYing middle of last summer. Really got serious around New Years. I've found some GREAT recipes online and in the TFA thread (which is what 90% of my flavorings are.) You'll want to get an idea of what percentages YOUR flavors need, but if you are using TFA, check out that thread and read Bill's Magic Vapor's blogs.

ETA @GlacierBabe

Thank you @DingerCPA I will definitely check out the thread. Is there something special about TFA flavorings? I've seen them mentioned before. :)

That TFA thread takes a lot of time to get through, but so far it seems worth it.

Ok. Then I probably won't have to worry about that since I vape35-40% VG and 65-70% PG. My lungs can't handle much over 40% VG. Too heavy. Thanks :)

Great info, thank you. Well I am all up for saving money. LOL I think it might not be so scary with the help of the calculators. And when I am mixing I will lock up all my babies. I have 4 rescue kitties that like to be with me wherever I am. Even the bathroom. I have to lock the door because they know how to open it. LOL I have one that likes to help me sew and she plays tug of war with scraps. LOL She's the one in my avatar. :)
My favorite tip with nic is to mix A WHOLE BUNCH of prediluted base at a time (like enough for a month or two, in a big ole bottle). That way, you'd have to be careful fewer times, and mixing is way easier: measure your flavors into the bottle you're mixing in, then simply top off the bottle with the prediluted base that you've made. ;)
Oh, and fresh nic is always more potent than some premade juices, so have a small bottle of PG/VG mix on standby, in case you have to dilute it more.

Lucky me, this was the second time this year - Mortgage transferred. Originally they Jacked my payment $85 to just under 1,00.00/month
This notice had me stressing,.....................................until I differed the break down.
House payment Dropped by $35/month:D

Still doesn't help much but I will take what I can get:thumbs:

That sounds like you would be able to have a ready supply for quite a while at a time. It also means opening your nic less times. I'm a chain vaper so that would probably be a good solution for me. I can go through 120ml of my ADV in a month. I tried upping the nic from 6 to 12 but the 12 was too much for me. I haven't tried 9. I was thinking that the reason I chain vape is maybe I wasn't getting the nic I need. But maybe it's just because I LOVE vaping LOL :w00t:

Cindycated, how do you mix a per diluted base?

Thank you @DingerCPA I will definitely check out the thread. Is there something special about TFA flavorings? I've seen them mentioned before. :)

Not necessarily. I happened on that one thread some time ago, and found some great information. TFA is not end-all-be-all when it comes to flavorings. You have to figure out what you like.

I started with CAP (Capella) and LorAnn (LA) flavorings. This latest order, I picked up a couple of Inawara (INW) flavors to try some different stuff out. I don't think I've tried FlavorWest (FW), but I also have a couple FlavourArt (FA).

I will suggest that the percentages from recipes may not be interchangeable with other flavorings. So if a recipe calls for 8% TFA, you might get away with 5% CAP or need 10% LA (not realistic, just for sake of example)

Since I'd spent a lot of time in the TFA thread and glommed a LOT of those recipes, I do stick with them and have since acquired a buzz-load of different flavorings. It is said, however, that TFA's don't make very good single-flavor mixes (i.e. you will need at least 3 or 4 in combination to make a decent jooz.)

I did make some CAP Chocolate Glazed Donut as a stand-alone, and either I was too new to know any better or it really was pretty good on its own!

Oh my! Truffle butter???? :w00t: You've developed recipes for ALL of these flavors?? *new best friend* :D

It was close a time or two. Another week and he'd be dead or divorced.

My hubby just got home today from a hunting trip, I've had a horrible week here without him. Normally I enjoy the 'time off', but this year was just bad timing and everything hit the fan while he was gone. I understand your pain bella, but they are good to have around too, right?
