So you code?

Oh, no, not really... I wouldn't consider Excel as coding per se... I've also dabbled with website creation, so I'm somewhat familiar with HTML and CSS (which also isn't coding) and can figure out some bits and pieces of PHP and JS, but that's about it.

Closest I've gotten to coding is trying to learn some Python and writing some simple scripts in BASH to automate some things on my home PC.

Umm... I might be talking out of my @$$, but wasn't it possible to program Arduino in Python as well?
Python doesn't have the insane learning curve that all C-like things have.

I started to learn C++ a few years ago for an emulation project, got pretty decent but always had someone check my work, then they switched their scripts to an advanced database scripting so learned SQL, not too bad at lua not that that is worth much.

Gave it all up though, although I do manage some databases just simple backups/column changes etc
