Went to office today (as per usual routine).. saw 2 males in Navy Polo Tee holding a mod with tank attached talking to a fellow colleague from the company. I overheard a few sentences before it seemed too obvious that I was overly interested in their convo. Didn't manage to see the crest on the shirts. "Where you got this from? Can you give me the contact? How long have you got it? Do you know that this is a banned item?"

Went to office nevertheless and heard from my estate manager that the HR & Auxillary Police are cooperating with the ICA folks. May raid anytime. Better to keep our mods at home or buried somewhere like Lim Chu Kang Cemetry.

Guys, stay safe.

In lieu of the recent law, These are the following advices I can give.

1. STRICTLY follow the local forum rules & regulation. This mean NO asking of source or location. Do not give any location even if it's just in jest/for the LOL

Please read this thread before going to any other thread Newbies Q&A Thread. [PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING IN THIS FORUM]

2. People of this sub forum do not have any electronic nicotine delivery system or vaporiser. Picture found here are all from online source.

3. Vaping in public will ensure that your gear will be confiscated. There will be no "give chance" about it. Public mean your VEHICLES as well. As long as other people can see you, that's public.

4. DO NOT speculate on the law. Don't give any ideas. Do not fear monger. The law is as it is.

5. This is the punishment for import, distribution and sales. "Any person who contravenes subsection (1) or (2) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $10,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or to both and, in the case of a second or subsequent conviction, to a fine not exceeding $20,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or to both."

6. If you are still stubborn and you get caught. Don't complain to us. That's your own fault.

7. Most of us are from army, we all know the most important core value. Practice it.

Edit: Just a add on I found online (even home is considered public if people can see you)

You may be in your own home, but that does not mean you can swan around naked. Yes, it is illegal to be naked in your own home - but with a caveat. Under Section 27A of the Miscellaneous Offences (Public Order and Nuisance) Act, Chapter 184, a person cannot be naked in a private place while being exposed to public view. This law came into effect in Feb 27, 1996.

If you are found guilty of this offence, you risk having to pay a fine not exceeding $2,000 or being sentenced to prison for a term not exceeding three months - or both.

Furthermore, if you are committing this offence, a police officer has the right to enter your home without your authorisation and use force, if necessary, to arrest you. (for the being naked at home case)

In August 2009, taxi driver Chua Hock Hin (right), was fined $2,600 for being naked in his own flat in clear view of his neighbours.

The next time you plan on walking around in your birthday suit at home, it might be a good idea to draw the curtains first.

In this case, imagine if you vaping. And all these is just for illustration purpose only. If neighbour saw you vaping at home and complain to /call the police. The police have the right to enter your home without your authorisation and use force, if necessary to arrest you.

@Karstine, let them be if they misbehave. We are no parent of theirs and it's their own consequences to chew on. The backlash is probably more "Amos Yee" cases out there, which probably more delinquents than adults.

I think what we should be more aware is that these do not become a nuisance to public before you have an outpour of support for that draconian policy. Right now the sentiment is pretty ambivalent, the other side of course driven by the media, which of course is selective mouthpiece of the incumbency.

Wondering if it counts as public when ppl can see you vaping at home?
Just theoretically, there's no practical reason for me to be interested of course

To answer your question,

Public nudity can be fined. There was a case where one guy was in the nude in his OWN house (hdb) and there was this lady who can see him from the other block. She was uncomfortable and called the cops. I can't remember what was the punishment but the cop came.

Another case where a young boy was flashing his junk at the window and rubbing one out. Police was called too

Edit: found the case.

Can't blame local only. Many countries are trying to do the same just for the money.
I'm coming from the country where Non-Practicing-It is rather a way to live, sort of valor
Took some time to switch the mindset following the idea that practicing it is actually beneficial for everyone because it's just good for society.
But there are some aspects of "it" which really hard to accept coz I don't see how is it beneficial

Edit:
But yeah, loyalty helps, thanks for reminding
