Kind of a sad update. My machine shop connection has fallen through for the moment (looking into other sources).

However I did order a printed design version, parts due to ship on the 20th :D.

The dims ended up at 3.5" tall 24mm OD tapering down to just under 20mm and 1.35" the other dimension. It will have a custom stainless 510 connector with adjustable positive pin height and stainless screw in battery door, as well as reverse polarity protection and PTC resettable fuse protection.

It had to grow a little bit due to the plastic and wont be hybrid-able, but I just wanted to get something to try.

trying to imagine how you are going to assemble the board in there ...

If all goes to plan it will be really slick....if not then probably a real pita :D

But to be honest I'm really liking the Kick2 (5-15 watts and sub ohm) shown in my Z2 tube with my own magnetic switch. I need to try some low ohm rba setups, but so far it vapes just like the DNA20.

I'd like to see your mag switch... if it's practical, convenient etc etc. I've got a Smoktech Magneto with a Kick 2 that I'm in love with.

I have changed it a little bit, but here are some pics of my first go....just a simple design

Just read through this whole thread. Originally I'd just skimmed the first and last page and was ignorant in thinking that this would be great in an 18500 version. I'm too accustomed to 18350 mechanical mods. Therefore, I'm always looking for smaller units, but I can see now that you guys are only interested in the optimal, and that's impressive. 40a batteries.. lol.. didn't even know 20a existed. Thanks for the educational reading. Looking forward to watching this evolve

Guess what showed up :D....but somehow I forgot to order one of the pieces and as the part that holds the internals in place it's kind of important  But it will give me time to get the machined parts made and fitted.
....
Yay! and Boo!

Will you color that somehow, or will it stay the same color it is now?
