wiring an 808D1/901 atty connector

Hi all, been working out the bugs in squeezing a protected 18650 battery into a small project box, and received my connectors. U have two questions about them.

1. What is the best way to seal the connector to prevent juice from being able to enter the box?

2. I saw the connectors in my head as having the center post isolated from the threads... does it matter where I connect the wires to the atty connector? It looks like a solid piece of metal.

Stop juice from entering by soldering up the center hole. It isn't solid. It is two pieces. Put the wire from switch to the center post and the neg to the case.

You may find you want to leave the hole open so the cartomizer can breath easier. Just a thought.

I would, but I also drip with a 901 on the same battery. Don't want juice all over my fancy new battery and radio shack switches!
