Wiring question

I just finished making my screwdriver clone and i had to take the back click switch out and ground the spring to the casing, i put another push button switch on the neck of the flashlight.

Id like to put a master on/off switch in the back where the original switch was, can i just wire it by having one of the prongs touch the spring / negative and the other prong touching the battery casing?

I haven't actually done this one, but I believe that is what everyone else has done (making sure of course, to insulate so that only one prong touches each of the two contacts). I believe you are using the switch as your bridge between the negative battery end and the flashlight casing.

Cool, thanks for the reply nico, hopefully tomorrow i will go to radioshack and pick up an on/off switch and some other stuff. I tried to put the LED in my SD today and was about to press fit my connector in again when the negative end of the LED fell out

I was able to get it in their though so i cant wait to get it all done and take some pics, it looked AWESOME.
