For close to a year I've been wanting to buy an 'electronic cigarette' but only recently decided to make the purchase. I went to the mall and the guy wanted $120 for some kind I had never heard about, and my coworker told me he fell in love with Blue Cigs. So I ordered online and a week ago I got my Blu bigs. Even worse my girlfriend enjoyed it so she also ordered hers last week which should arrive any day now.

At first I thought I liked it, I think because I really LOVE the entire concept. I quickly realized I was reaching for 'analog' cigarettes so quickly because I barely get anything. There is barely any vapor and pretty much no throat hit, both of which I am looking for. Additionally, a fully charged battery seems to only last for two or three cigarettes worth, even though it's hard to measure since I get tired of trying to get nicotine from it's very little vapor so I go outside to smoke an analog.

I now realize that I am looking for something that can offer:
A lot of of Vapor
A good TH
A long battery life

I would like it to be manual and not auto, as I understand the benefits.

I found this site yesterday and spent about 6hrs on it while at work and several hours on it after work. Today I've spent a few hours reading on it as well. I'm ready to return my Blu cigs (since within the 30 day window) and buy something that will actually work.

I'm also a very impatient person, and although I could order one online right now, I would rather not spend $10 after I smoke my last 'analog' in a few minutes on a new pack. So... I googled and found a store nearby where the woman who answered the phone says there is no physical store, but I can have it delivered for free, or meet her. So I opted to meet her in about two and a half hours.

She says her inventory is low and that shes waiting on a shipment this week. She has three available kit options as of today.

1. eGo Starter Kit - $70
2. Hello 016 Starter Kit - $55
3. The Joye 510 - $65

Each of the three came with accessories (spare batteries, charger, etc.) and she told me the Joye 510 was the way to go, and was the model that she recommended people to start with. She then went on to explain about the eGo and mentioned it having a bigger battery than the Joye 510. Since I had read much about all three of them, I told her I would like to buy the eGo, along with 4 - 10ml bottles of her tobacco flavored juice for an extra $27. I'm driving an hour there (in the rain) and an hour back for the purchase haha

This will be a Christmas present for myself.

One thing she did mention is that she'll have to 'piece together' an eGo kit since she doesn't have any more wall chargers for it. She's waiting for a shipment from China or something, so she has the USB charger (which I think is all I really need). I figure since I'm impatient and will probably end up driving up to her when I need more juice, that maybe I'll ask if she can give me one if I go up for more juice. Either way, not a big deal for me.

This is the item's description on the website:
Announcing one of the most sophisticated e-cigarette kits, now carried by... ! With a 3.7 volt battery and 650 maH, the eGo takes you where you anywhere you want to go.
The kit includes: 2 eGo batteries, 2 atomizers, 1 decorative cone, 5 cartridges,1 eGo charger,1 USB Battery Charger,1 Free bottle of e-juice in either Tobacco, Menthol, Cherry or Coffee. Available in black. $70

The Joye 510 description said this:
The Joye 510: Reliable and elegant, although we could provide any kit on the market, after much testing of other e-cigarettes, we recommend this Joye 510 e-cig kit for its reliability, vape production and quality. $65.00

The Hello 016 Starter Kit: ... is pleased to carry the Hello 016 kit, which includes: The super battery, 2 atomizers, a USB with wall charger, 10 Cartridges and 1 free bottle of e-juice. (In your choice of Tobacco, Menthol, Cherry or Coffee). $55.00

Does anyone think that I would be making a poor decision among the three by choosing the eGo? I should have it in my hands in fewer than two and a half hours. Even after so many hours researching, I think I only complicated things for myself :)

I made the mistake of getting a blucig kit a little over a year ago. I did not care for it for the same reasons you listed. I didn't know about dripping and the carts didnt last for more than a couple hits. I gave up and smoked analogs for another year before I decided to give it a go again and I am so glad I did. I have been smoke free for almost 2 weeks now!

Lesson is- don't give up on ecigs just because you start out with a brand that isn't good. Keep searching and you're bound to find one you like. It's worth it!!

The eGo is great. When looking at the batteries look at the mah rating. A 750 maH battery will last 6-8 hours with fairly heavy vaping. You might want to pick up some compatible cartomizers and drip tips to try different methods of vaping. The Joye 510 is going to be the smallest of the three. I would go for the Ego or Hello 016. If you want to keep your Blu as a back up, look for some 306 cartomizers. I keep the 306 cartomizers on hand wiht my Blu and use it as a converting tool for peeps who still smoke. They can use it and my spare Riva battery (compatible also wiht the 306 cartomizers, as is the eGo and Hello) while waiting for their Riva or eGo to arrive. Pick up plenty of juice, at least 60 mL of different samples. After you find the flavor you like, keep it stocked.

Not sure about blu but if you're returning it read all the fine print. Call and get a return authorization number. I used an app on my cell to record the calls just in case.... Have it there before the deadline and have tracking on it. Make sure to cancel any monthly subscriptions they might have put you on (even if you never asked for it).

There are a lot of good vendors and units. I picked up an eGo from Liberty Flights on sale and enjoy it very much. The LR attys put out more vapor but may shorten battery life. I haven't had any problems.

You can always make your own too! The "puck" is very easy to make with parts from Radio Shack (except the atty).

Happy vaping!

From the description of what your looking for and the choices you gave, the eGo fits the bill. I've been using the ego for going on a month now and I love it. In fact, I just ordered an ego passthrough from cignot.com to add to the batts I already have.

The battery life on the ego is wonderful compared to a stock battery. the 510 atty provides great vapor and TH (of course some of this depends on the liquid and nic content). The ego is a good fit for the type you say your looking for.

Sound advice, there so many different types and variations for any single person to determine, everyone has different needs/tastes.. research research :)

The above 3 sets are perty much the same to me, except the pricing / style / color, package deals. All 3 packages have good life on battery times.

There's also alot of vendors on this forum that have similiar ego's for lessor prices in kits. But if it comes down to convenience vs wait time out of the 3, your choice won't steer you wrong on an entry level perspectives.

I think you've made a good choice and that you'll be happy with it. I love my Riva/eGo batts and haven't had an analog since I got them. I would suggest that you order extra atomizers (get at least a few) and check out some of the recommended juice vendors for future flavors. I'm sure you'll be vaping your head off on the drive home, so let us know how you like it!

I do believe you made the right decision for yourself. You COULD save a few bucks by ordering it online but as you already stated, the extra cash is worth it to you to have it in your hand in two hours.
I started with the blu a year ago, and returned mine within the 30 day period. I had no problems doing so, smooth transaction.
I then went on to order (V2cigs...a Kr808D-1 model) and returned that within a week after I found this site and ordered my eGo....never to look back. For me, the smaller type just didn't quite do it for me, but I sure dig my eGo!!! (you will too!)
Good Luck and Vape On!!!

I think you've made the right decision for yourself. You COULD save a few bucks by ordering online, but you stated that you'd much rather pay the extra to have it in your hands tonight. (I don't blame you one bit)

I too ordered the Blu a year ago (almost) and returned it within the 30 day window with no problems. Like the other poster recommended, get delivery confirmation so you can track it.

My next attempt at vaping was this Oct. with V2cigs (KR808D-1). IMO, better device than the blu was, but the smaller type pv's were not for me. Returned that within a week (I kid you not), found this forum, ordered an eGo and won't look back! The smaller type PVs are loved by some, and that's awesome for those who do, but from what you described you will LOVE you eGo....i certainly dig mine.

Well, you should have it by now according to your post time...can't wait to hear what you think! Good Luck and Vape On!!!~

Well I just got home. Drove an hour away and then an hour back and apparently paid more because I didn't want to wait for it to be shipped haha :)

First I'll say what I got for $95 - (5) 12ml bottles of various juices, 1 battery, 1 pass thru, one atomizer, one low resistance atomizer, 10 cartridges, a cool custom blue colored mouthpiece, and of course the usb and wall chargers.

She didn't know if I would be interested in the pass thru or whatever it's called...When I asked how much it was, she said that I could just swap one out for one of the batteries. I agreed since I read how convenient these can be. Also, apparently it's a battery in itself, so it's kind of like getting two batteries, but one has a cord that I can attach via usb. The other, I guess the same thing...

She had tons of flavors, so I asked for the Tobacco flavor since one came with it. Then I paid $27 for (4) 12ml bottles of other flavors. I bought Peach, Mocha, Menthol, and Blueberry since they sounded interesting. I only just tried the Blueberry and OH MY GOODNESS!!! :) Mmmmmm

I've already tried both atomizers, and I don't really see much of a difference. Perhaps I'm wrong. Also, when she wanted me to try it, she had me drop a couple of drops on the wick or the bridge, or whatever it is on the atomizer. She also included a lemonade sample sized bottle. I think I'm good to go for a little while! It came to $105 because I bought one of her custom colored mouthpieces for $8, but then she took off $10 since she said I earned 10 points for spending over $100. 10 points is $10 off.

I don't know if I did good or bad on this purchase, but I'm happy nonetheless. Especially when I return the Blu cigs in a day or so. I can't wait to try the other flavors.

Thanks for everyone's feedback. I think I made a good decision with this one. Now I have to research the forum to find out how long those 2 drops I drip last, etc. I think that I flooded it while I was at her house. I noticed a funny taste when she went upstairs for 20minutes to make all of the bottles of liquid. So I tried adding some lemonade sampler that I was given right after adding two drops of the tobacco flavor, and it wouldn't light up or whatever. So I shook it hard and a couple of drops came out. I pushed the button and it was working again.

She told me if a battery or atomizer stopped working, to realize it wasn't my fault and that it would be covered for replacement. I told her that I think that's awesome, but the parts by themselves seem affordable and I read that they often need replacing, so I didn't see a need to have them replace the parts should they stop working in a few months.

Ya!! Way to go!!

You'll have it figured out in no time.....

If you flooded it just take it off and blow from the open end into a paper towel a couple times. Drip around 3-4 drops if the atty is dry... should get you between 8-15 puffs... when the vapor thins out or the taste starts to turn drip a couple more and you're good to go..

Happy vaping!

I probably would've been better off ordering online haha.... :) That having been said, when I drove an hour there to pick it up, she mentioned she didn't have the 'cone' that screws on but would send me one as soon as she gets them in. I opted to take a low res atomizer in addition to the standard atomizer, and the low res one stopped working today on my lunch break. So now I only have the standard one. I want to order some more so I'm not caught off guard, but where and which ones do I order? I see ones that say Joye eGo 510 atomizers.. will that fit into this? I don't know what brand this eGo is as there are no markings on it and didn't come with a box or instruction manual. I have a feeling I should've waited and just ordered online. No big deal really. It still seems to work really well. I'm also looking to try a good juice, as there's a common strange taste with all of the juices I bought and I'm not sure if that's just the way it will be or if a better quality juice will taste better. My favorite is definitely the blueberry one.

I'm going to try and figure out which atomizers I can buy, and hopefully they'll also sell juice.

Hey Cadkins,
Just an fyi, if you're down to one atomizer you might want to keep the blu kit for emergencies. Also, you can use the blu atomizer and cartridge on the ego and it is sufficient once you get the hang of refilling those cartridges by dripping into them. And from what I hear, the 306 cartomizer is supposedly very nice, stick that on the ego and I bet it would last a few hours.

I too started with the blu, was unhappy, moved up to the 510 and now the ego and it's my favorite. But I kept everything I bought and all of these work together. Interestingly enough, when relaxing, I find the best taste comes from the blu atomizer on my ego, I just have to keep refilling it about every 15 minutes but hey I'm relaxing and not smoking!

Here's an atomizer that works good (I bought two of these from this vendor, who I believe is one of the best suppliers).

LitecigUSA Premium Joye 510 Atomizer

If you decide to buy any more eGo kits, LiteCigUSA.net has them for $54.95 plus $2 shipping. But, as someone stated, Liberty Flights currently has eGo 650mAh kits for $39.99 with the 20% discount using coupon code ECF (or click on the icon at the top left of the main page), and their regular price is $51.96 with the 20% discount.
