Hey all. New to the site and vaping. Pack a day(+) smoker for over 20 years (Camel Wides at that). I read around a bit and settled on the Halo G6 as an easy starting point for the wife and myself.

I didn't want to set myself up for failure and say I was quitting, but so far I have not had an analog since I got my kit 2 weeks ago. Actually, I took a drag a couple days ago and it was horrible.

The only brand of juice I have tried so far is Halo (18mg). I have tried most of the flavors and seem to have settled in on; Tiki Juice, Prime 15, Shamrock, and Sub Zero. I like to mix Shamrock and Sub Zero for a super minty chocolate flavor.

Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and what I have tried so far in my short tour of vaping.

Welcome fellow Californian! I didn't say I was quitting either and somehow that made it that much easier to actually do. The pressure is what gets you!

My dad loves the chocolate/minty mixes. He told me today that he's been mixing cinnamon bun with his mint chocolate juice. I think he's nutts but everyone has their own likes and dislikes and this hobby offers plenty of options.

congrats on vaping! your gana feel alot of things changing in the weeks to come, i few pleasant and a few not so pleasant, get the no so pleasant out of the way...youll most likely start to purge out some really nasty tar chunks from your lungs, this lasted a few months for me was bad at first but got less often.

some of the pros will be your since of smell and taste will come back, watch your diet tho some food will taste incredible for awhile..dont want to get over weight lol.
youll find it easier to do daily things like walking and whatnot and will find you will have more energy and wont feel as lethargic.

as far as e-juice goes as your taste buds heal your preference of flavors will change so for awhile dont buy to much of the same thing you'll likely get sick of it fast stick to some 10ml bottles for awhile and try out lots of different stuff, this not only helps you from getting sick of a flavor but helps you find new flavors you would have thought you never would have liked and as a added bonus it keeps you occupied with a hobby that helps you keep from going back to analogs.

you should check out some of myfreedomsmokes.com e-liquids they are like $5 a bottle and you can have extra flavor added if you like, but most there flavors are very strong to begin with.

Thanks for all of the welcoming replies everyone! Now, hold your breath. It's time for newb questions ;)

So, I am already looking at other types of kits to try. Anyone know if the Vapor King Storm with the Clearomizer is any good? It looks really easy to manage, and seems to produce some hefty vapor. Not that there is anything wrong with my G6, I just see so many options out there and would like to try some.

Also, Are clearomizers able to be washed out to use different flavors, or are they like carto's and you need 1 per flavor?

jazon1: Are the juices at myfreedomsmokes on par with Halo? As I understand it, Halo is one of the few quality juice companies (and I like that they are made in house).

Thanks again everyone. Nice to see a forum that is not full of insta-trolls.

I find that clearomisers are cheep and I have one for each flavor that i vape on a regular basis. I mark them to each flavor with model paint. and to clean them I use hot water or vodka. to test flavors I have a drip tip or atomiziers I use. atomizyers are little rmetal tubes with a bit of fiber and a heater core in them to set off the vape. they run lile $1-1.50 each. they clean out well in the vodka. let them dry well before you use them again.
