So I mixed up 6% of Hazelnut and 20/80 PG/VG to make up 30ml about a week 1/2 ago. Initially, the flavor was excellent, just the way I liked it. But now, I can barely taste the Hazelnut. Still producing good vapor but no flavor. Any ideas? I'm using ProVari mini and eGo C Twist both with Boge LR (3.8-4 V) and SR (4-4.8 V). All liquid from Wizard Labs, and yes I drink plenty of H2O.

How long have you been vaping? If you are at the 2-3 month mark then it could be the dreaded "i can't taste my juice" syndrome. There are many posts within the forum that discuss this. I know it hit me at about 10 weeks in. For 48 hours nothing I vaped had much taste. I resorted to a menthol mix. This may not be your problem but it is an issue that is noted and discussed here often. Best of luck and happy vapes

Is it possible that the low PG % is muting the flavors? Just asking; I'm about to start mixing my own juice, too.

Higher VG content should mute the flavor, but the problem is that the initial mix was excellent with the same PG/VG ratio.

I've been vaping for 1 1/2 years now, probably a bit longer. But, I figured it's me that's the problem not the juice. I just mixed a 10ml with 10% hazelnut and I still can't taste it. Oh well, I'll leave it to steep and come back to it in a month or two.

You may be vaping too much of it. I find that if I alternate between 2-3 totally different flavors daily, I never lose the taste of a flavor. If I stick to just one flavor, it is like my tastebuds become immune to that flavor. Try switching up a bit. I switch between coffees, sweet/bakery and fruits.

Good luck.

Not me... I discovered Capella. Concentration is secondary to taste, and Capella, thus far, has the best flavor that I've tried.

Concentration doesn't even really matter IMHO. Unless I'm truly missing something, you just getting a lower amount of carrier liquid + about the same amount flavor molecules. "Whatever" in my book on that point.

So, regardless of that: if you haven't yet tried the China super-concentrated ones (VapingZone or EcigExpress), you really could be missing out on your new favorite flavor. There are some truly outstanding flavors to be had in the lineup, and they are very easy to use. There's now also a pretty well built out library of information on them. Hangseng's Essense line is on my radar as well, but I haven't had one of those just yet.

By the way... Wizard Labs flavors are actually made by TFA, and repackaged in 8ml vials.

Yep - the vast majority are TFA (including this one). There are also at least a handful of LorAnn and Seedman flavors there too though, so check the product descriptions.

Finally, in re OP: nicotine technically may also be a suspect. This wouldn't necessarily be a flavor disappearing act though, more of the nic flavor bleeding through.

But like salem said, isn't it funny how taste and smell can fade after continued exposure? I wonder how much of that is in the brain...it's certainly a different effect than how a background noise can "disappear" from your consciousness. That's something you can always decide to "get back" and hear again (provided of course, you could hear it to begin with). It seems we can't "decide" to taste a flavor or smell something again. Instead, it requires getting away from it for a time first.

I have no idea where I'm at
Just as a final consideration: Hoosier came up with a nice "taste" scale for DIY. I will try and find it, but in a nutshell, if you over flavor your nic base, then you start loosing flavor. Sounds funny, but I tried adding extra flavor once, tasted like I had forgot to add flavor, then started adding flavorless to dilute it, and the taste came back. Too much can be as bad as too little. Depending on your flavor, try diluting a couple of mls and see if that works. You never know, it might work.

And, taste bud fatigue is quite common after vaping the same flavor without a change.

Happy vaping

Saludos
