Thought I wasn't going to get a shot at one having to wait till Monday, but my first Woodvil after owning three Reo's is on its way and just in time for my birthday. I am very content getting a Bloodwood Reo as my 4th Reo and it will be all the more special being an American made Memorial Day Reo!

Purpleheart is an extremely dense and water-resistant wood. It is ranked one of the hardest and stiffest of the woods in the world. It is so durable that it can be used in applications that require toughness, such as truck decking.[3] The trees are prized for their beautiful heartwood which, when cut, quickly turns from a light brown to a rich purple color. Exposure to ultraviolet (UV) light darkens the wood to a brown color with a slight hue of the original purple. The longer the wood is exposed to UV lights (sunlight), the colour of purple slowly changes from a light purple to a substantially chocolate-purple colour.[4] This effect can be minimized with a finish containing a UV inhibitor. The dry wood is very hard and dense with a specific gravity of 0.86 (54 lb/ft^3 or 860 kg/m^3). Carbide blades are recommended when working with purpleheart wood. The wood is also known as amaranth and violet wood. Overharvesting has caused several species to become endangered in areas where they were once abundant.[5]

Oh yes, after reading - had to have it. But the Bloodwood looks GORGEOUS!!!

Great! I was in and out Saturday, I was surprised too, some still left, but they were going quick, I don't want to go back there end up with another. enjoy your B-Day!

Thanks guys! I liked the lace wood, purple heart, and I forget the name but was a very light colored one maybe birdseye?? as well but being a gamer the blood wood sounded like something I would collect in an RPG and couldn't resist that. :D

B-day is still a few days off but that just means it should be here by then and I know what I'll be vaping on as my first birthday as a non-smoker! Only took like 22 years to call myself that but better late than never. :thumb:

I know - The REOs really keep me happy - The REOS and a Chalice III - keep me real happy.

Four of them in your first month? Nah, typical reaction :)

Now, four in a WEEK *might* be excessive, but then, I just bought 4 woodvils :(

Ummmm .... Ruh Roh! Glad you said, "might!" Such a nice word, "might." :)
