Hello all, I posted this earlier in my Woodvil post, but thought maybe I should have a thread of it's own. Hope the Reo community doesn't mind the double post.

Well I must say I like bottom feeders! I've only been vaping for just over six week, and have been buying different devices like a mad man. Like many, I started with eGo's and quickly started adding devices and experimenting. Bolts, Vamos, MVP, a Provari and a whole bunch of mechanical mods. The Vamo is very good, and the Provari is much better, and I love the pure simplicity of the mechanical tube mods. But I avoided bottom feeders. Thought they looked a bit silly with their little hole in the side. Still do I guess, but now really like them for their functionality. Which brings me to Woodvil / Vmod comparo.

The Woodvil. Beautiful little work of art. I show it to friends and it really has a "wow" factor. Functions flawlessly, good hit and taste. I consider it quite expensive, but I understand why. And unless I do something to screw it up, I don't see it losing much, if any, value. I like it a lot! The only negative is the size. The Reo is a whole lot bigger than the Vmod, but it does have a bigger battery.

The Vmax. From the aluminum cover to the plastic inner to the button, it just feels cheap. Not throw away disposable cheap, but it just doesn't have a substantial feel to it. In spite of the cheap materials, set it up and it transforms into a nice, solid, light weight little mod. For me, function is every bit as good as the Reo. Functions flawlessly, good hit and taste. The size and shape of it fits my hand much better than the Woodvil. Drop it in my shirt pocket and don't even know it's there. I really like it and if Vapage has another 50% off sale, I'll probably pick up another.

So I really like them both. Sitting on my sofa right now hitting the Woodvil. Heading to Menards in a bit, and the Vmod is going with me. I've got room in my life for both these mods.

But what about the Reo Mini, you ask? Similar size to the Vmod and uses the same battery. A bit boxier. So I picked up a Mini yesterday from the classifieds. Should be here this week. I imagine I'll love the Mini too.

The quest for knowledge continues........

Loved my VmodXL as well... until it broke (on it's own - not my fault!). Now I'm waiting for my Grand :D:D:D At least Vapage is replacing the Vmod, so it'll be a nice backup! I would love to get a Woodvil, too. They look stunning in photos, and I'd bet they're even way nicer in person! I wouldn't mind having one in red flamed maple with gold hardware... and maybe a mother of pearl bird inlay... to match my guitar!

its a good thing you've got both, that way when the v-mod breaks the reo will still be working.

This is a really good test. Brand new Woodvil vs a brand new V-Mod. And yes, I fully expect the Reo to be working long after the V-Mod has been recycled. If I ever do have trouble with the Woodvil, in it goes for a tune up.

But I've got that used Mini on the way. Good chance the V-Mod will be retired before it has a chance to break down!
