This just in, and is of critical importance for anyone planning to buy during the upcoming woodvil sale:

It has just been announced that as of Sept 28th, a federal directive (1087643/26) has been approved such that Alfred, Maine, will be included in Mountain time, rather than Eastern, like the rest of Maine. This will be a permanent change.

Regarding the sale, what this means is that everyone should start shopping 1 hour LATER than the announced start time. I will take it upon myself to sacrifice my precious time to be on the site early, in order to inform anyone who has not been made aware of this significant change, to come back in an hour.

BAWAHAHAHAHA!

(for those who don't know, be aware that this announcement is all lies, in fact, almost anything you hear about a woodvil sale is a lie, even our esteemed Robert has been known to "stir the pot" from time to time)

lol.....keep it up .....keep it up

I bought a big spoon for this sale. I was a real noob on the last one.

Can anyone more knowledgeable than I am explain what "mechanical" will mean for this run?

It means that there will not be wires or switches in the mod. Just like the metal ones they do not have wires. Most Woodvils cannot run sub ohm well at least the really low ohms. I personally wouldn't go below 1 ohm on a Woodvil because the wire is the weak spot. With the mechanical you can roast your lungs to your hearts content.

I think Rob mentioned to me that he was going to give priority to newbies like myself. :D

He offered that up last year to me as well but it is only so I could select from the wood chips behind the shop. With a good bottle of wood glue and some popsicle sticks you can have some stuck together popsicle stock covered in saw dust. But you on the right track.... it will be made from wood....lol

I doubt I will have extra for me that close to the holidays. With 4 kids, 3 grandkids, 2 birthdays between Thanksgiving and Christmas, then 3 more in Feb, that pretty much wipes out any extras from Oct-Mar.
I'll just keep working on my mad ninja snipering skills in the classies and sit back with mug of something and watch the craziness.

Should I hit the lottery however, it will be game on
