I find myself getting better at picking out individual flavors in juices, food, pretty much everything the more time goes by since I stopped smoking.

I think people can be influenced by descriptions and people's comments. I usually try to "find" the flavors described by customers/manufacturers when I first try out a juice. It doesn't always happen but the other day I was vaping Radioactive while at work and I was tasting the pecan shell that is described on the NT site. Had never perceived that flavor from the juice before but I did in that moment.

I almost never read descriptions anymore. I find recommendations from people I trust and order based on that.
I'll try most anything from NT. I'd rather not be predisposed to taste specific items. I'd rather be influenced as little as possible.

ETA: I'm also forgetful, so don't memorize descriptions. By the time the juice arrives, I'm back to tabula rasa.

If it's a new vendor whose juices are not known to me and has names like Wakonda does I read the profile to see what it is supposed to taste like. Overall my tastes are mine so customer comments on the juices may push me to try it but even with glowing reviews and a 5 star rating it can still fall short for me. As for leaving reviews I'm terrible describing the actual juice. I taste things I like or I don't like, I have to search really hard for words to describe what I'm experiencing.

My reviews are usually like:

YUM!!!!! OMG must have MORE!!!!!
Well, it's pretty good but not something I'd hit every day.
Eh, I'd vape it but not reorder.
What is this? I don't get it at all. I'll keep it around but only vape it in desperation.
O he|| no, this is going to kill weeds and then visit the landfill, this is horrid!!!!

Outside of those that I've come to trust (mainly, my Nicoticket brethren)...none. I've gotten my vendor list down to just 3 or 4 vendors that I buy from now; everyone else overhypes the "latest and greatest" stuff, and I've come to find them all seriously lacking.

This, exactly. The 5-level rating system.

1) MMMM!!!!
2) mmm....
3) Eh...okay....
4):nah:
5):confused: -> :eek: -> :censored:

I usually read the descriptions, but by the time I put some juice on cotton I forgot what I read. My short attention span for you haha. So if I'm confused by a taste I'll read it again. In my videos I always read it just because I feel it should be informative to people that may come across and watch. Usually I have a:
1. Yumm, this stuff is great and finish 30ml in a day or two.
2. Meh, it's okay. Not great, not terrible

3. :glug:Followed by a "What the :censored: is this :censored: ?!?" (which you never hear that in my videos, I tone myself down with language and my "twang" when I record). Then that juice goes in a drawer to be forgotten for months until I may get the courage to try again haha

Might I add, I never had the third thought with Nicoticket. Some of it may not have been my favorite though.

I will read descriptions & comments before trying a new flavor.
If there is a note I can't figure out, I'll read some more.

One of my pitfalls, is that if I read a comment that talks about a particular note, I'm bound to taste it myself the next time I vape that flavor!! Case in point...I never tasted a peanut note in a particular NT flavor, but once I read someone else's comment about it, it wasn't long before it tasted it!

Me too!

I guess we are easily swayed by suggestion. I've done experiments with the other half, having them try something, describe it, and then while they are vaping it again, go "fresh cut grass, fresh cut grass, fresh cut grass, fresh cut grass" and then they taste it. LOL

And, like Danny, I forget what I read by the time I get around to tasting something, Virus for example, and have no clue what I taste. I can say "I Like this", but couldn't say specifically why. Then, going back to read the description, and reading what other people here taste, I can start tasting specific flavors too. Sometimes my tastes will line up more with customer reviews, rather than the descriptions too, so it is still an individuals experience.

Sometimes I have to go by the above mentioned 5-level system, sometimes I have specific things to note.

Fun stuff!
Thanks for sharing!
