World War Z (the movie) information

Well I thought I'd start a thread so everyone could read/update to their hearts content about the upcoming movie based (I hope closely) to the novel.

In the news! Brad Pitt was announced at Comic-con to not only be the producer but also to star in the movie as the UN Postwar Commission agent who conducts interviews with survivors . So far it's to be directed by Marc Forster and released in Summer 2012. I also found a teaser trailer for it but of course it was fake
Paramount has also optioned the rights to the other two books Zombie Survival Guide and ZSG: Recorded Attacks.

Does Angelina become a zombie and Pitt gets to kill her?!! Two people who I will not save during the Zombie Apocalypse.

Well for what it's worth. The only update I've found is that this movie is tentatively scheduled for release in July 2012. Kind of surprising that there aren't any other updates for this movie.

I'm glad I have time to read the book first! I'm still reading the 2nd book of the Strain. I'm hoping the Passage will be a movie. That will rock!
