ok, so i finally got the black satin provari mini with green led - i think :?: in the rush of ordering, lest they sell out, i completely forgot the recommended high drain batteries.
and never gave them a thought till the mini arrived. ;) since i really wanted to see the green display and since i had regular 18350 batteries from my vv gripper i decided to give it a try. i attached no atty or tank, i just wanted to duplicate the first steps on pbusardo's video and i sooo wanted to see the green! :D
but i got nothing :( the batteries work fine in the gripper .............. so, should i be worried?

Provari's are VERY finicky about batteries! They are flat designed to use AW's IMR's, I've heard the EH brand batteries and some of the Eftest batteries MAY work, but it's not a guarantee.
The tops probably don't stick up enough to make contact on the terminal board. Prvari states you shouldn't use anything but IMR batteries because of the load required by them.

Couldn't have said it better... That's why I asked about the brand.
