I'm working on a project (ya I know, I'm always working on something, lol) and the project is a sort of "packet/folder" of Ecig Information. Of sorts kind of a reference guide for new vapors, and I was going to put an not recommended section (due to my fails using some brands of e cigs that are poor quality and overpriced) and I decided that this would honestly be a fun thread to start that might help some vapors. I want to know what all brands everyone here has considered fails and why? I would like to include cig like brands, tank brands, mod brands, ect, anything so poor quality or anything that is WAY overprice over (not referring to high end mods, just general mass produced merchandise that a novice vapor might get into) what it should be. Thanks Everyone in advance.

I bought two brands of poor quality devices when I began,
I bought an 51 trio for 20 dollars a battery with 5 cheap garbage atomizers. batteries only lasted a few hours max straight off charger out of box and after one month all 4 batteries where garbage

V2- was a little better than the 51 trio (at least it performs somewhat). lack of flavors and overall battery life only lasted 3 months of vaping. When I recieved first order from them one of the batteries didn't work (good job quality control) My biggest gripe for this brand is that there prices are extremely steep for an intro "kit" with a poor overall build quality. Every time I used the passthrough it tasted burnt (don't know why, and didn't care to look into) the PCC I received with my kit (granted they have a newer one now) the cord for got a short within the first three weeks, and on my second order of batteries ( I know dumb right, ordered that garbage again, but thats before I found you guys :) )
Three of the four batteries in the couples kit didn't work and they made me pay return shipping on them (must have been a new policy, but a good reason why I won't buy their products again) :(

So those are my two brands I won't ever touch with a 30000 ft pole again, what about everyone here, I know there is plenty of similar experiences floating around.

Well for my limited input: The Johnson Creek juices were pretty ok and the menthol was quite nice. The Blu system on the other hand was very faulty AND overpriced. My PCC case on the Premium 100 kit doesn't charge. Some cartos either did not work or tasted burnt right out of a fresh box. Once, even an entire 5 pack of cartos was burnt tasting. The battery life was pretty horrid and certainly not what Blu claimed it was (and this is having gone through 4-5 batteries at that point, not just the two that came with the kit.)

So far, my Halo G6 for a cig-a-like has impressed me quite well. Good vapor, some tasty juices, and not a bad price-tag. A bit high compared to an eGo or Spinner but still it is working well for me and I fully plan on upgrading soon.

My first set was an eGo knock off that I payed way to much for. They batteries stopped working after about 2 months which set me on the hunt for a replacement which in turn let me stumble upon the real deal. With a little extra research it looks like it was a Riva eGo kit.

The Silver one to be overly specific... still a little miffed about it. ;-)

Edit: By comparison I should note that the proper Joye eGo batts lasted through a good 9months of heavy use and still work to this day but are simply retired. I still pull them out and use them from time to time to test cartos and tanks etc.

Edit 2: Someone didn't like my bad experience so for him I'd like to include that my unit was completely friggin identical to the Riva eGo minus the branding but I guess was NOT from the same wholesaler as the Riva?

My second misstep was trying a low priced VV MOD "GS VV MOD aka Vision Tox" a little before the tech was ready. This thing lasted about 2 months of very little use before the batt cap fell apart (which I predicted) and I repaired it with Superglue and a quarter. at about 6 months the pressure from screwing in the battery caused the top of the batt tube to fall out. I fixed it with some more super glue however about a month after that the control head started loosing contact to the batt tube and would reset the voltage to 3.0V which of course makes it completely unusable. Complete waste of money imho. Up to the point it started falling apart it worked fairly well and it got me hooked on VVs.

Vapezilla reigns supreme on all fronts. It's at home here or in a greatest mods ever thread...it's beautiful and hideous, horrible and magnificent all at once. A multipurpose, non-functioning but superfluous light-having, chock full o' just sheer awesomeness smurf-colored beast mod...and I must have one...yet I wouldn't pay $1 for it....

The twisted mind of the evil dwarf wizard gargamel? Idk it showed up in my ridiculous setup thread a couple weeks ago :)

The guy said there was a bunch of em and they were complete garbage but he's obviously not to be trusted if he actually owns one and paid $ for it....I totally want one lol.

Interesting. V2 was one of the first e-cigs I tried and I really liked them. I particuarlly like their menthol e-juice (although I'm not a fan of their cartos). I've since moved on to a Vamo and cartotanks but I still really enjoy throwing a carto of good juice on my V2 batteries.

my main issue is kind of an overprice issue with them, and the fact that I've recieved DOA batteries from them numerous times (whats the odds of getting three junk batteries at once). There are alot better quality cig a likes on the market for a fraction of the cost, and though they do show their warranty in pride, the fact that I didn't use them for a week (was finishing off the nasties I had purchased since i was waiting on devices) after I received them and when I discovered three dead they told me I had to cover return shipping I thought was a load. When my first set of e cigs died (almost all at the same time) and I ordered a second kit not only did I have to wait to vape for the order to get to my house, but to my house, back to v2, and back to my house....wish I shared the same experience, and will admit without touching the v2 I would still be a smoker; but knowing the fact I can order the same kit somewhere else of the same quality for WAY cheaper and the issues I had with them I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, no offense meant.

I have V2 stuff, always had great experiences with them. One time i ordered 3 clearos and they didnt show up, and they overnighted me 3 to make up for it. I still use my v2 kr808 with kanger esmart clearos almost daily, and my 2 batteries from about 6 months old and still work flawlessly. They arent even that expensive either. I will say that their juice is garbage tho, gunks up coils like crazy

Sorry, but I have to equate cost to trash.
Honestly it is more - Did what you bought help get you away from smoking?

Most of us think the mini's,etc. are junk and don't last. We forget they are very small cig emulating devices. Most are only 90-230Mah with a max recommended 300 recharges. Anything over a few months survival is a blessing for the user. Think in terms of charging 3-5x per day vs. upgrading with backups and charging a few times a week. Instant longevity.

To add, almost anything someone thinks is pure junk will ultimately be the device another has been successfully using for a while.

Also we must consider - What was the manufactures intent for use and how are we actually using their product.
A good example is English automobiles and the fact they never survive American owners but are considered excellent in the UK.
