I could've posted an intro a long time ago, but didn't. But now that I want help with something, I get around to posting. I promise to post more!

Anyway...

Hi! I'm a vaporer here in Seattle, WA. I've been puffing away for about two years on various devices. The current setup: Provari with a Z-Atty-Pro, which I love. But I'm having a bit of trouble.

I've noticed that first using the device in the morning, it sometimes doesn't work. The retractable contact pin has retracted and is not making contact with the contact on the Provari. Somehow, during the night, it retracts back up into the atty. Removing it and putting it back on has been enough to alleviate the problem. Until this morning.

Today, nothing that I had could grasp the pin enough to pull it out. The remedy turned out to be taking the tank off and running it under water. The pin popped back out. In about a month and a half of owning a Z-Atty-Pro, the pin has always felt like it doesn't slide easily.

So how can I prevent this? Can I deposit some sort of lubricating oil somewhere which will allow the pin to slide back and forth more easily? Obviously, I don't want to spray down the entire unit with WD-40.

Thanks for reading this far. I'll participate more from here on out!

The sticking is caused by juice caramelization and gunk buildup, lubricating that pin would cause you to ingest the lubricant when you vape...which would not be a good idea.

Just try to clean it out once a week really thoroughly and the problem should stop.

Thanks Elmattias.

I'm cleaning and dry burning the atomizer coils every other day. I've watched several demo videos, but none that I've seen demonstrate a way to get to part of the Z-Atty-Pro that houses the pin.

Any idea if removing the O-rings and boiling the atomizer would be safe? Or soaking in alcohol?

Thanks again!

Edit: I just realized that, even if I remove the O-rings, the retractable pin seems to have some sort of rubber bushing and so boiling and alcohol may not be the best idea.
