wow you are so lucky with those prices.
Down under we are blatantly robbed across the board with all things vape related.
$20 or so is typical for most 5 packs of coils, $15 for a 60ml bottle of juice and AVP mod kits in B & M stores are typically $70 to $150.
Online is the only way to find just a bit cheaper & ordering online internationally is the only way to find a decent price.
Canada is fortunate that our vape gear does not quite scale the same as our exchange rate. For the majority of vape goods our prices are at least on par with the US once our dollar has been converted. But there are some items such as batteries that cost significantly more in Canada. LG HG2 are $5.50 US on IMR batteries right now – converted to CAN funds that’s ~$7.30 CAN. But the average price of LG HG2’s in Canada is about $13 CAN. However, shipping from the US to Canada is quite high, so one needs to buy in bulk to offset that cost in shipping.
I was looking for a replacement squonk bottle - it’s a proprietary design so the only place that had them was the manufacture out of the US. $10 US for the bottle, $50 US for shipping. Shipping alone is more than what I paid for the entire mod! Not worth it!
Our commercial juice prices are not too bad. Cheaper can be found in the US, and they do enjoy more of a selection, pre current CDC vape drama. But our regulations limits the amount of nicotine that can be imported in. Been a couple of cases here on ECF of Canadian members getting their juice order confiscated by Canadian customs.
I don’t shop on the Chinese web retailers. If there are any savings, they usually are not significant enough to justify the long wait times – at least with the products I’ve been interested in. Much rather pay a few dollars more if it means I can get the product in a few days vs a few weeks or longer. I suffer from severe postal anxiety and instant gratificationitis so I tend to shop more at B&M’s than I do online.
