..try to evaporate alcohol after an alcohol extraction? For example, say I soaked some black tea and tobacco leaves in a mason jar with vodka for a day or two. I then strain it. Now I'm left with vodka that tastes like tobacco/tea, but has no visible solids. Do vendors add this kind of stuff to their juices? I have no clue what would be left (if anything) if I attempted evaporating the vodka at this point.

There are lots of threads on the subject in the tobacco Extraction section above. Some discourage using alcohol to extract because you also extract some unwanted compounds. I've done a few using PG and had good luck with cigars, pipe tobacco and tea. There are people doing extractions with PG, VG, alcohol and distilled water.
