I'm wiring something that resembles a flashlight mod, and have a quick question.

All diagrams I've seen connect positive to switch, switch to atty, atty to ground.

Am I correct to assume that it would still work if I connect positive to atty, atty to switch, switch to ground?

Thank you! Just in my setup, it would make a smaller mess to do it this way :)

As long as the body isn't grounded.

That will work just fine, but the electrical engineers and electricians in the room will judge you. Protocol is to always switch the "hot" leg of a circuit and have the ground leg always connected.
