Thinking of doing a mod from scratch but I am unsure about how every thing would connect. I hope you can follow this. The batteries I would like to use would be 3.7 volt which should be about 7.2 volts so I would need a regulator.
What I have designed would have the negative wire connected to the spring and the spring to something solid to hold it in place. However I see a lot of mods running the negative and positive wires though a printed circuit board (flash light mods). Do you think I will still get the same connection running the negative from the outside wall of the atty to the spring then a negative wire from the spring to the center post in the regulator?
Yes, that will be just fine. The circuit boards are so you can do additional things (most of the time the board is a boost to take it from 3.7 to 5v). I used a board to allow USB charging so I didn't have to pull the batteries.
Alright thanks again guys. I also created this hoping it might help someone else of course I didn't want anyone to try it not knowing if it was laid out right.
