FDA will not ban flavors. Nicotine will be regulated. It's just a question of to what degree? Logically it will just be taxed. A politician in Europe actually shares the same point of view as me, regarding the stupidity of making a small selection of liquids available to choose from.
So if it's resisted strictly, you're SOL anyways. There's always the black market and 100% DIY.
Thing that confuses me is big pharma buys nicotine in bulk to sell. Nicotine is available to them and no one says anything about it.
Basically what i'm trying to get at is there should be nothing to stop any e liquid manufacturer from buying nicotine in bulk to sell seperately. If the pending regulations make it illegal to sell nicotine e liquid then there will still be no law stopping the sale of nicotine as a standalone product. A vendor could sell base liquids, flavours and nicotine all as standalone products. Think about this....You go to a site to
buy e liquid. Nicotine e liquid is banned so you
buy base liquids, flavours and then you should be able to purchase a bottle with just nicotine in it to make enough e liquid to fill that bottle. It wouldn't be sold as an e liquid so could bypass any regulations. Nicotine isn't an illegal substance and any regulations wouldn't change that. Regulations would just force vendors to change the way it would be packaged..as a standalone product !.
What i'm wondering is whether this is why regulations are being imposed in the first place.
