I didn't, and have no regrets. I had been reading the Provari forums for about 3 months before I bought my first. Very few issues seen with any Provari. My first one turned a year old last month, no issues at all. I bought a second Provari (no extended warranty either) in April and no problems with it either. These things are built to last.

Considering how inexpensive it is to have a Provari repaired for costs out of pocket, anything that would require sevicing would be quite affordable in my opinion. The most expensive unit to replace is the circuit board, about $65. Not too shabby for a device that I expect will last me several years of service.

Standard Service Repair Costs

Replace Window and screws- $10.00
Replace Circuit Board - $65.00
Upgrade to V2 - $20.00
Replace plastic pushbutton - $5.00
Repairs to the circuit board - $25.00
Cleaning - $20.00
Replace top cap - $15.00
Broken Cartomizer Service - $10.00
Return shipping within the USA - $5.00
Return shipping International ~$46.00
