MVP2 is only $40. They are well worth their money. In answer to the question, no.

The MVP 2 is an awesome mod... I own one. I also own a Provari which, in my opinion, is an all around better mod. More expensive.... Yes it is.... worth it.... Yes it is. I can take the tank off of my MVP 2 and put it on my Provari and the Provari hits so much smoother and better. It's a matter of choice.... if possible... I say own both... we always need back ups.

Hi everybody,

I am running a kayfun 3.1 with a Sigelei V.3 right now, a co-worker has a ProVari mini and the regular one. I see the feedback and all that, but is it really worth the triple amount of $$$?

Hit me with some feedback and let me know what you think please.

Thanks in advance also from ProVari owners.

Hes got two... Why dont you just ask to barrow one for the day and see for yourself? I myself enjoy my Provari but I got it used and for a price I couldn't pass up.

What is amusing to me with many of these replies is the angst that some posters have over what someone ELSE is using and are very driven to talk someone OUT of a device.

If you're happy with what YOU'RE using, why should anyone care what value someone else places on a device?

If VAMO is your mod of choice, and you're happy with the four replacements, then have at it! If MVP is your mod of choice, and you don't mind replacing it when it can no longer be charged - have at it. If you want to make an intial investment up front for an almost indestructible (or warrantied should it destruct) device like a Provari or a REO - have at it.

There are many reasons people choose their devices. Some want cheap and some want quality workmanship. Neither is bad as long as the user is happy.

Many people would say that the REO isn't worth the money, but for me, it's worth every penny and I plan to get more.

There are just as many Provari owners who feel as passionate about the Provari as I do the REO (and we also sometimes have respectable ribbing of each other). There are also many who own both.

But I'd hazard a guess that not many Provari/REO owners have held onto much of the vape gear they had before (I went through ego style, VAMO, MVP2, SID, SVD, and other similar and only have my Kamry 101 for dripping juices I want to taste test).

Why not borrow your co-worker's Provari for an hour or two and see what you think. Worth asking maybe...

Unless they're packrats like me...hehe I still have my 4 ego styles in rotation! I have my own juice bar going here at my desk.

Right now I have a Sigelei it has VV and it works, its great. I can use 3 different types of batteries in it as it is a telescopic device.

Now having that said, I understand that you could 4 Sigelei's before I get to the $150 of a ProVari.

I see that there are many forums where you can read about A-Mod, B-Mod, and many other Mods (I will not mention brands). However, I like my devices to be handy, smaller is better, and reliable. I have seen a Provari in a water glass submerged and getting it out and still working, this is something that is Extreme testing, not something I would ever do. However, here in Florida the rain, and humidity is a daily thing, so I would think that having a sturdy device that doesn't let me down when I want to vape is something important.

Its just like having a wet pack of Analogs... pretty much useless right.

I see many against the Provari, many in favor, and I really liked all your points of view, but as some of you have pointed out its preferences, and that is what it comes down to I guess.

I started with a VMod and the little thing was nice in the hand and not too heavy, but and here is the issue I had with those, you put them in your pocket and go sit down and they break, juice in your pocket, pants ruined and nothing to vape with. The Sigelei that I got thanks to a Friend, got my into the Kayfun, after tasting the same juice that I was vaping with that tank. Now what a change,... I will never look back. Yes the Kayfun is hard to tweak and the micro coiling is tricky to say the least. I need a MOD that can help me tweaking my Kayfun. Ohms meter, Voltage output, and powering the coil. Now having that said, now you know why I ask the initial question, and wanted to see what others had in mind, or were thinking about one side or the other.

Thanks everyone for their input and feedback, you opened my point of view, and helped me getting my thoughts straight.

I have heard this word being used for provari a lot, what the hell is smoother hit? I own a Provari, Vamo V5 and Nemesis, I find the hit of Provari subdued for the same tank at the same volts.....So if smoother hit means less vapor/ less throat hit, then by no way its a positive thing.

Because of the hype I had to get the Provari but so far I am completely disappointed, ofcourse if it keeps working for a couple of years I will change my POV.

For you, Mr. Completely Average, I would strongly recommend that you never get a Provari.

I can assure you I won't, for much the same reason I won't buy a $60,000+ BMW that's slower than my $35,000 Mustang. When I buy something my highest priority is on performance, and for something to be worth 2-4X the cost it needs to perform 2-4X better than it's competition. The Provari simply doesn't (And yes I've used one).

Not sure what you're seeing in it that makes it worth the cost to you, but it surely isn't the performance of the device. Bling factor maybe, but it's definitely not the performance. For the same or less money I can get a DNA30 device that does everything your Provari does, several things your Provari will never do, and is every bit as solid and reliable.

The only thing the Provari does better is allow you to shove it in other peoples faces like a status symbol and say "look how great I am, I have a Provari." Much like my neighbor who drives a Lexus ES350 and thinks it's actually worth $7k more than the Toyota Avalon. (They are the exact same car)

I Would happily spend on a provari, unfortunally, here in Brazil, a full provari comes at equivalent of 500$, a big step, but im considering buying one once i have the money.

I have a MVP2, VTR, Vamo 2, 2 mechs, and a Provari. When I'm going out I take the Provari and 1 battery because I know it'll work and last me the day. I'm not shoving that in your face, it's just the way it's worked for me. I've never regretted the purchase but have regretted buying the VTR since it sits and collects dust.

I agree but the OP did ask for opinions. :D

I think that most people want some sort of confimation before buying something on the expensive side.

It keeps Consumer Reports in business don't it? :)

Completely Average, please try to stop being so negative in every thread. This is supposed to be a positive place to share information, not rip people/products. Not everyone is going to become a cloud chaser or RBA guru. The Provari, along with other countless battery devices have helped me stop smoking cigarettes. In that case, they're worth every dang dime. If I had it to do over, I would still buy a Provari.

I can say the same for Vamo V5 and Nemesis, :p. Nothing out of the ordinary TBH......I am right now fielding for the other side, ofcourse the day my mods start failing but Provari keeps working I will start batting for Provari (this is an analogy from a game called cricket, maybe applicable to baseball as well?).

Oh btw, I built a 4 strand twisted 1.3 Ohm coil on Kayfun, and was vaping on 14 Watts on Vamo, but when I tried it on Provari at 5.5V, after a few hits it started giving me E1 & E2 errors. Now tell me how can any1 say Provari is worth it.

I don't try using my Provari for builds unless they are 1.8-2.0 ohms, that's where I like em. I just always use my mechs for my builds. I use my Provari with a cartotank for out and about because it's easy.

I don't recall the OP saying he was going to use the Provari for building sub-ohms and such. I have run a build on my Vamo 2 and Provari and it worked fine, but like I said it was 1.8-2.0 ohms. I'm not looking for an argument just answering the OP's question.

You will get an error E1 reading if you're trying to fire a 1.3 ohm at 5.5 volts because the setting it too high. You'd need to lower the voltage.

This is the second time I've seen you say something like this. You really have a low opinion of most other vapers don't you.

There is nothing typical about Provari owners, just as there isn't a typical Mustang owner.

my take....if you are in this for the long haul (you know who you are) and appreciate the quality, style and class of a finely crafted device i would respond with a resounding YES. if in your mind the device is merely a means to an end, then definitely no. same answer to those wondering if they should spend $240 on a XXiX full kit.

i KNOW i am in this to the end, just like i was in smoking til the end (however bitter) and to me the feel and function of a quality device adds to my vaping experience. good luck.
