I enjoyed cigarettes. I liked the smell of a burning cigarette (not stale smoke). Still do actually. But i don't miss the feeling of nicotine having control of me. I'm vaping 9 mg now and I feel much more in control, I don't have nic fits or cravings and if I do get a sudden urge for nicotine it does away in a minute or less usually.

On a side not, I did get an njoy king in the mail from the "free" promotion. If your looking to kick the habit of smoking then this is then product for you. To me it was kind of scary, same weight and feel as a cig. I've been smoke free for a few weeks now so I'm just now really breaking the habit And ill stick to my ego for helping me stay smoke free.

I am trying to quit the analogs and got my new set-up in the mail Saturday. I am loving the vision spinner with the vivi nova. I didn't buy the off-brand stuff either this time. Last time I bought junk from what I am told, lol and it worked like junk. This time I am determined not to fail so I will never want to go back to analogs once I finally quit. I am doing better though just since Saturday afternoon. Not using analogs nearly as much. I actually got a nicotine rush on Sunday and had to sit still for a little bit. I was trying not to go smoke so I vaped for like 20 minutes straight with no break, lol and got a huge headrush and didn't like that. I have some lower nicotine ejuice coming so I think that will help with that. I am determined this time and love the spinner. It is making a world of difference in the vapor, function, feel of the smoke, can actually see it this time! and the flavor is much better even though I am using a high VG. Going to take advice I got on here about trying a lower nicotine with a 50/50 PG/VG and see if I can handle that. I hope so but happy that I can FINALLY taste my juice and throat hit with the spinner. My other set-up was awful.

My advice is to let the vape take away most of your cigs, then one day in the future make up your mind that you are quitting those last few for good. If your experience is like mine, you will be surprised to find that vaping is all you need. I had no withdrawal effects at all. I just quit and kept on vaping.

Every once in a while a whiff of a burning cigarette smells good. Most of the time they stink. I never thought I'd say that, but your olfactory bulb gets more sensitive after you quit. I can smell smoke in a room the next day.

Well, being as truthful as I can be its something I've already thought about but not with the magic given by the OP. Thinking about the FDA and the possibility that vaping may be more costly than smoking it a real possibility which makes me sad even thinking about but true nonetheless. I'm on a fixed income and smokes are not as expensive where I live than they are for most so in the worst scenario smoking may be all that's left to me. I know I wouldn't return to my 2 PAD as I have enough supplies to keep me from that for a year or two unless the devices are heavily taxed or banned and what I have goes kaput. I would probably smoke under 10 a day along with vaping.

Have you tried tapering down on your nic level?

I have but can't seem to make it below 12 in the morning and 6 the rest of the day. I am learning diy and buying nic when its available but I'm am afraid of mechanicals and don't have a clue how to build my own even after watching Steeljan (bless her.) So, I don't know how long ego 650mah batteries will last so if doomsday comes I will be trying to conserve them. One advantage, if seen from a vaping perspective, is that I'm an old gal so they don't have to last me as long as for some.

absolutely yes .. I enjoyed smoking .. pounding the pack against my palm, snapping the wrapper off, the smell of a fresh pack, thumbing the Zippo for that first morning hit and rush, lighting up after a meal, the list goes on .. don't plan on going back to them, but under your circumstances, sure ..

Agreed...if cost and health issues aside I would go back.

I've been living in cities with indoor smoking bans for the past 10 years. That's the only thing keeping me from smoking at bars and clubs. If it weren't for that I'd still be smoking when I'm "out." When I visit a city that allows smoking in bars and clubs I take advantage of it and have no desire to change that.

I've never smoked in my home or car and never would no matter what. I might reconsider that position if cigarettes were completely odorless, didn't produce ash, and were 100% healthy.

If the health consequences were magically gone, I would go back to smokes in a heartbeat. I love vaping, have found my perfect setup and juice, and I'm happy. But I smoked for years, and sometimes I miss it. Even the smell.

I would just do both. Vape for the flavors when I'm inside and go out for a smoke whenever.

    Ditto. :) ...

I still do, even after three years vaping, but no more (and rarely less) than 4-5 a day--down from 25-30 at peak over a 40+ year habit. I've never lost my fondness for the taste and smell and the extra "oomph" a cigarette provides, even compared to very high nic vaping. (Plus, this helps ensure I don't turn into a tiresome anti-smoker. Seriously.) And to a certain degree, my remaining cigarettes are like a safety valve for me. If I were to approach it as an "either/or" thing, I'd probably miss smoking and go fully back to it.

In fact, this kind of played out a few weeks ago. I was at home sick for 2-3 weeks, and something about my down mood and time on my hands made me want to smoke more than just my two morning and two late night cigarettes. So I did, but I think not more than eight or so any of those days, and vaped the rest of the time. And now I'm back to my 4-5 routine. Considering how brief and minor this "lapse" was, I guess my system works for me.

I would not. The plumber was here the other day and he's a smoker, nice guy but he reeked which made me ask the question,"Did I smell like that?". It was pretty nasty, plus vaping is much more interesting to me. I actually enjoy the tinkering involved when I make my coils. It's satisfying, AND the taste of my liquids is much more pleasurable.
