this battery is brand new aw. i asked the veterans but they locked the thread before i could show them my pics

Most certainly not. The separator linings are measured in microns (human hair is ~80 microns), and any stress to the linings can create an internal short. Best case senario with an internal short is the battery gets very hot. Worst case...well there has been string of threads about that lately.
