Hi

I vape 20VG 80PG Hangsen RY4 at 6mg Nic on my daytime set up which is an EVOD on an ego battery. It's a warm vape and the flavour is good.

I vape zero nic juices in the evenings on the CF4 and Subtank Nano so far finding my Spacejam Eclipse 50/50 PG/VG a good warm vape if I want at 30W or a nice tasty cooler vape betwen 23-25W and the juice performs well with the tank.

My worry is I've ordered some Hanseng RY4 at zero nic for the subtank (tried a bit of 6mg and too hot and nic buzz blew my head off) and am worried that on the .5ohm coil it will be too hot.

It should give good coil life as very light color and 80% PG but subtank juices tend to be at least 50% VG.

Will it be too hot? Should I use a lower wattage? Should I use a heavy PG percent juice at all on a .5ohm coil?

Would anyone here vape 80PG 20VG juice on a subtank? Will it be too dry and hot?

I can of course just add half RY4 and half Spacejam to give it some more VG if that will be the case. Or add some pure VG. Or if that is the case just use the RY4 for my ego and evod and next time order higher VG content RY4. Just thought I'd try the Hanseng RY4 in the subtank literally as so cheap for 4 bottles and free delivery and knowing that if it doesn't work I'll have juice for my ego+evod for ages as only go through 1ml a day on that and can mix the zero nic with some 6mg I usually use on it as 3mg is enough for me anyhow.

So - 80PG/20VG - would you vape it at all on a subtank on .5ohm coil? Should I instead try it on the 1.2ohm coil I also have at betwen 15-25 Watts? Would that be better? Or mix with VG?

I'm vaping 70/30 on a 0.22 ohm titanium coil at 30W right now. Subtank Mini. Not hot to me...

I'm vaping 3mg on a subtank at 18vw for the last week and no problems so far - the liquid I bought was elements creme and the shop owner advised me against vaping it on a subtank and said it's ideal for a dripper, but I just went ahead anyway and enjoying it - getting nice flavour and no burn or anything. I tried a 6mg before, different juice though, and felt nauseous afterwards. 3mg is just the right amount of nic for me when subohming.

Vaped 50/50 the other night. No issues. But, it was a 50/50 with no added water or alcohol and the flavor ingredients must have been on the thicker side because it seemed thicker than other 50/50s I've used. It's my experience that the ratio isn't the big concern. It's the added water or alcohol. For example, I've tried PG-free juices that have added water (looking at you Johnson Creek) and it spits and the flavor is inconsistent. Probably why that have that "recommended for" bit on their pages which I ignored in the name of science. At the same time, I've done 50/50 (Seduce Juice) without added water and the performance was fine. Let this be a reminder that "PG-free" and "Max VG" are not the same thing.

I'm talking high PG ratio here. Half of you are replying as though you are thinking I'm talking high VG....

I'll just try it and see....

IMO High PG can be used in any atty. High VG on the other hand can NOT. PG flows better than VG so it can be used in atties with a tighter juice flow path or with builds that tend to burn juice and wicks due to starvation..

When I was trying to figure out a way to vape higher VG, I tried adding water, and it seems to always make it spit -- I don't like it! So I just went back to my high-PG and stayed there; now vape 84%-85% PG in anything I use, no problems.

I vape 80/20 with sub box mini at 17w on up depending on brand flavor with no problems
