The potential losses that you could incur as a result of the button sticking could way exceed the price of the mod (an HH.357 and 2 batteries alone would cost twice the price of the mod), so I'd definitely avoid this one.

My only question about this statement is are you sure it isn't just a defective unit? If it is have you tried for a replacement. I bought one for my dad and the button does not stick on.

I have one that's working well (for a week+ now). The button sticking shouldn't be a disaster because it has a cutoff of about 10 seconds. I did notice one oddity: as the batteries run down when I hit the button it won't fire only blink and immediately after it will fire again when I hit the button. Not sure if that's a feature (to warn you to change batteries soon) or a bug... Also the button did stick on me twice when I banged against something by mistake and I needed to gently pry it out to get it unstuck. All in all worth the money in my opinion...
