I found that e-cigs have ruined smoking for me. I had quit smoking long before discovering e-cigs but maintained my nicotine intake with other methods. I would still take the occasional weekend to smoke a pack, and endure how sick all the chemicals made me feel. I can literally feel a cigarette "hangover" the next day after smoking just one, and I am actually a little alarmed and how much bad stuff I was able to put into my body for so long. I'm almost surprised that cigarettes don't kill people faster than they do, they are pretty toxic, it is just easy not to notice when using them all the time.

I thought vaping would be a pale imitation of smoking, I never imagined it would be a far superior and far more enjoyable experience. Now if I had to choose between a magic cigarette that had no health consequences, or thick clouds of vapor, I would choose the vapor,

Back in February when we were on vacation, I decided to try a cigarette - at that point, I was just past the 3-month mark. I had quit smoking for almost a year back in the mid-90's, and I remembered that first cigarette after such a long time was the greatest thing since sliced bread. So I had to know if I was really done with them. Like so many others have reported, I couldn't finish 3 drags - it was completely disgusting, and almost greasy. It took a while to get the rotten taste out of my mouth. That alone may be the greatest gift that vaping has given me - after 40 years of smoking, there's no going back now.

I picked up a pack of a few weeks ago when i was having an itch. That pack is still in my desk at work.

I think as smokers we learned to like the flavor because thats just how you got the nic. Now that you can get it another way, you're much more judgmental about flavor. Also, your taste buds are probably working again.

Also as vapors, and specifically those that buy juice, we are way more discriminating about flavor. My current flavor of choice is the TW tobacco flavor. I like it because it tastes like what you would imagine a cigarette to taste like when you smell a freshly opened pack, nothing like the burnt taste of a flamed up analog.

All that said, I am not an angry ex-smoker. I genuinely feel bad for smokers now.
