I'm excited! Today, I am one year smoke free. Kinda cool as I smoked about a pack a day for the most part of 32 years.

I tried Zyban and Chantix and they are absolutely evil. I did quit for a while after almost going insane taking Xyban, but a few drinks one night and one bummed smoke, I was back on them full time within a few days.

Enter vaping a year ago today. I have no idea why I just decided to drop into a vape store before jumping in a rental car for a 5 hour drive for business. I bought an iStick 40, a Nautilus Mini and some gross 12mg tobacco flavoured juice and was vaping as I walked out of the store. Haven't had a smoke since. My wife didn't take to vaping immediately but she is now 6 months smoke free and loving vaping.

I have had quite a journey... starter kits, high powered mods, mechs, squonkers, RTAs, drippers, DIY juice and so on and loved every minute of it.

ECF has been instrumental in my vaping journey. Without you folks on ECF, I wouldn't know most of the vaping related things I do now. I learned how to rebuild, how to make my own ejuice, how to use mechs safely and what a squonker is.

Pretty confident that I will never smoke again.... and that is a really good feeling.

Thanks!

Awwww.... thanks guys and girls. :)

My post came off more self-congratulatory than I wanted, but my main point is that almost anyone can quit smoking with vaping and avoiding those evil smoking cessatation drugs if I can after over 30 years. I have a bit of an addictive personality that doesn't get me in trouble, but made quitting smoking very hard without vaping.

Is vaping good for you? Nope. But it's a hell of a lot better than smoking. My medical results don't lie. Vaping very possibly will add years to my life. :thumb:
