So I've been wrapping my own coils and eveything is working out great. The only question I have is how do you get it off this thing without distorting the legs? I have to always play with it once I get it off and straighten the legs out. If this sounds confusing sorry.

I bend out the leg where the wire goes through the hole. Then I unscrew the cap and slide out the coil post. Then the coil is removed very easily. I then flip the side where the coil leg has a bend. Put it back on the post, and smash it together. Both legs are perfectly even.
I do it exactly the same way.

I use a different wider tool.. Search Artistic coil gizmo. Mine is home-made has 3 ID Options 2mm, 2.5mm and 2.75mm. Not a good pic but you get the idea. That is a BBQ Skewer, approx 7/64(2.75mm) and a 2x2.

I can make spaced coils and PINCHLESS contact coils, tensioned or not. just a matter of resistance(weight) on the wire and angle of the rod. Coils are Perfect every time, legs are always straight, clean and point where you want them.
