Have you completely cleaned the mod? All contact/connection/thread surfaces?
Battery ends cleaned recently?

Perhaps a Jeweler could re-coat the pins. Silver is not that expensive.

Yeah it's completely cleaned. I thought about taking it to a jeweler and that might be the route I'll take. Thanks

The whole idea of silver plating is to have silver on every part of the pin including the thread.
If you put copper tape on the pin thread you won't be able to screw it, and if you just put it on top you're just adding another layer of metal the current has to pass through.

I was thinking of just putting it on the top part not the threading. It's a long pin and 1/4th if it doesn't have threading.

Don't use it just clean your contacts, every point of contact, threads I have an atty that has a fubar'ed insulator and it leaks a little juice on the battery, might want to check your battery ends as well. What mod is it?

It's an HCigar no logo skeleton key clone ImageUploadedByTapatalk1413919301.380940.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1413919325.243876.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1413919444.338753.jpg

Most of your voltage drop is probably occurring where parts come together. Metal, all metal to some extent, oxidizes and metallic oxides are worse conductors that the metals. So the first step is tho clean ALL the places where electricity has to go from one part to another.

The sticky stuff on the back of the copper is probably a poor conductor.

Noalox is a grease that will help keep out oxygen to slow oxidation and it contains Zinc particles that will cut through surface oxidation and improve conductivity. If you do use it use just a tiny bit, It will attract dirt so clean often, only put it in places where the air you inhale does not go over it.
