In CNN today: FDA and health experts warn against use of e-cigarettes - CNN.com

Would someone please correct me if I am mistaken, but I was under the impression that the FDA made it very clear that did none of their own testing and now they seem to know EVERYTHING there is to know about e-cigs after saying before that they could not gaurentee their safety becuase they didn't know anythign about them.

I've read the Runyan toxicology report and nowhere did it mention carcinogenic properties or antifreeze components.

I think its about time we pointed out their folly to CNN and gave them some real facts to work on.

FDA, like the rest of the govt, speaketh with forked tongue. Check the date of the report, they've had the analysis results for quite some time and have been sitting quietly on it, pretending it didnt exist.

It is worse than that. All pg has .2% Deg in it.

Diethylene glycol - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Because of its adverse effects on humans, diethylene glycol is not allowed for use in food and drugs. The U.S. Code of Federal Regulations allows no more than 0.2% of diethylene glycol in polyethylene glycol when the latter is used as a food additive. The FDA did not have trouble finding it because they knew that PG food grade has DEG in it and they let people make stuff out of PG food grade for human consumpstion.

This is a farce on the part of the FDA. PG is used in all Big tobaccos, products form Cigarettes to skoal, chewing tobaccco etc to keep the tobacco moist.

Outwest,

Regardless of outcome SE vs FDA, we all should consider class-action against FDA. IMO they are knowingly and willfully withholding life-saving alternative.

Any takers?
