I received the X Cube 2 about a week a go. All was good until one day I set it down on the desk after I was done vaping....locked. All of a sudden I hear a hissing sound so I reach over to grab the vape and it was smoking from the bottom of the mod. I picked it up thinking it was fireing but it was still locked and would not fire when I pressed the fire button. Then came an awful smell so I took out the batteries then replaced them later. Now all it does is read "ohms too low". There's my little complaint. So if you decide to get the x cube 2....don't buy off of Craigslist or from a friend....make sure you buy it from a trusted source so you can get your warranty.

What batteries did you have?
Were they new or were they used before?
Were they paired or did you mix two together?
What wattage did you have it set to?

Nxjo 3000 mah batteries. Married set. Set at 72 watts. The batteries were relatively new. I probably had them 2 weeks. My ipv4 has run these batteries perfectly. The x cube was running it perfectly as well until it spazzed out. I've also had the batteries in a ipv3 li as well and ran fine. For more info I was using the TFV4 tank quad coil 0.15 ohm.

MXJO IMR 18650 3000MAH 35A 3.7V FLAT TOP HIGH DRAIN BATTERY these are the ones I have.

I would also like to mention that every time I put batteries in now (no matter what kind) the bar heats up without it being fired at all(because it's impossible to fire now since it reads "too low ohms")

Did a little more digging and found that these batteries are HG2 rewraps. These batteries should give you a 20amp continuous with 35amp pulse. Running them at 72watts on your regulated mod should not have shorted the batteries.
Thanks for the heads up. This is a case of "buyer beware".
