I have the Smok xPro M80 plus and I have a couple Kanger subtank minis I use with it. I usually use .5 ohm coils. Sometimes it will show the ohms fairly correctly at .54 or even .61, which seems close enough. However, as I puff, the ohms reading will tend to change after every few puffs. Sometimes it will even say up to 1.5 or 2.0 ohms on the same tank coil! One tank seems to do it worse than the other, but the two I use now both will change quite often, and once in awhile quite drastically. It sometimes helps if I unscrew the tank and screw it back on, but if it isn't really tight, the ohms read are really far off from what they should be. I'm not sure if it is the tanks or the M80 plus that has the problem. When it reads really high, if I don't catch it before I take a puff, it is horrible and burny-dry, since it thinks the ohms are so high...

Has anyone else had this problem and/or have any ideas as to how it can be fixed??

By the way, I've cleaned the connections and everything thoroughly, so it's not that...

Are you using the RBA section? If so it could be the base screw is loose.

Take off the rba and on the bottom you'll see a pin with a little hole through it. Tighten that sucker up. I find that if I'm using the RBA and I get ohm jumps it's 99% that of the time. It just came loose during cleaning.

If not your coil may be shorting out and you'll just have to replace it.

I have a Smok M50. I really like it. I read some stuff about the ohms jumping on it, but I bought it anyway. The fix was to sand the clear coat of the negative contact of the device. When I received mine, I just sanded it lightly before putting a battery in. I have not had the issue. I have a Smok VCT @.5 and Kayfun at 1.9O that I use. It has been pretty spot on its reading. highest I went is 50 watts just because I could. I didn't like for numerous reasons.

I believe the 80 has built in batteries. Not sure if you could clean the negative contact or slightly sand them as I don't have one. May be worth a shot to look.

negative contacts of the device not the battery.

The ohms, and battery, and the voltage are updating with every press of the fire button. Not to mention the Xpro M80+ is not too accurate to begin with. I own one and I use it occasionally if I want a small box-mod for a dripper. I've had this happen to me a couple times, but not that often. Make sure the spring-loaded 510 pin on the XPro is not crushed down (where the device screws down), take a toothpick, or a screwdriver WHEN THE DEVICE IS OFF and gently press it and see if it feels like there is a spring under it. If you are unable to press the pin down, and have it spring back up, that is more than likely the issue as it is not making a solid connection.

Hope this helps! :)
