Xtar IMR 18350 850mAh?

I purchased one of these batteries at a local vape shop the other day and I can't find much information on them.

Does anyone have any experience with them or know the amp limit?

I don't know about the 350 but i owned the 650 and looking by the specs i think the 650 is a rewrap OF Sony VTC4. Of course if you're looking at the quality of their chargers too i think your battery is good. Just don't use it for low sub ohm though maybe .9-1 ohm

It is an IMR battery (high drain, safer chemistry). Xtar failed to include an important battery spec - amp continuous discharge rating or C rating.

Should be a very good battery for general purpose vaping, but not knowing the amp rating I would not attempt to use these for sub-ohm vaping.

I emailed Xtar and it turns out the amp limit is 4.25

Is that the "continuous" or "pulse" discharge rate?

Continuous, they actually added the info to that page I linked to earlier.

Is there a way to figure out the pulse rate from continuous? I could always just ask them

The pulse & continuous discharge rates are determined by the battery manufacturer. There are probably ways to determine them idependently but would require sophisticated bench testing equipment.
