Recently I've just bought (just now actually) a xtar mc1 charger, not plus. I wonder what will happen to the output if I were to use 1A input. And will it damage the circuit board? Anyone any experience?
Yep the chargers only going to draw a max of 500mah. I have the MC2, and even though the usb port says 1a input, I use a 2a Samsung charger for it, but it still only charges each slot at 500. Your circuit board will be fine too. That kinda stuff happens with DC devices, when you use an adapter with a higher voltage than it needs. Like all my guitar pedals.. They all take 9v adapters. The milliamps dont matter because each pedal only takes what it needs no matter how much is available, however if I were to plug in a 12v adapter Id fry most of em.
XTAR MC1 will charge only with 0.5A. If you use adapter under 5V/1A, it won't be sufficient to supply the power, but if you use high power adapter, it will only charge with 0.5A too. The charger will automatically adjust the charging current to 0.5A.
