Hello everyone. Just realized I haven't made the obligatory intro thread yet.

Two weeks off analogs now. Of course it all started with a gas station cheapie. I found this site just AFTER ordering a V2 slightly-overpriced kit. Luckily their shipping seemed ok, and I found a local vapor store in time to have juice ready in time to refill my cartos from the get-go to keep it cheap.

The local vapor store totally corrupted me, so I'm already sporting six flavors of liquid in clearos on eGo-C batteries. The V2 is solid as far as mini batteries go and with the charging case it makes a great on-the-go device.

Anyway, loving it! It's so... unbelievable that I was able to stop smoking so effortlessly. It almost feels like cheating because it's such a fine substitute for analogs. My girlfriend (who smokes maybe a pack a week) has been kind enough to get in on this with me.

Honestly there's been a few times I would have LOVED an analog. However, after attending a concert and going to a few bars, the joy of being able to puff in the middle of it is priceless. I couldn't remember the last time I had a beer, a seat, heating, AND nicotine at the same time!

For your new hobby you may want to try liquids from Heathers Heavenly Vapes, Ailen Visions and Copper creek. The house blend from copper creek sounds like it may be right up your alley. Oh and check out Mrs Ts bakery too.:)

Welcome Bazmonkey !

Don't listen to these people, they are a bad influence on new vapors.
They will try to get you to spend money on upgrades, and wonderful new juices.
Next they will try to convience you to share with you girl.....

Now, listen to me, DIY juice making is the thing for you...and it won't cost you much (Cough, Cough):vapor:
You should start by watching EVERY YouTube Video on Vapping ever made.( )

Really, I think you are doing Great, and I wish you every success !

Vape On !

welcome, i agree it does feel like cheating lol. watch grimmgreen on youtube, that dude knows everything about vaping. after about a week of vaping and my wife saying i vaped like a train and spent to much money on it she started and now she's buying like 4 juices a day and the ones she dont like she gives me and i usally mix them, i come up with some wierd stuff, minty carmel popcorn ( sounds gross, but its awesome) mint mango, chocolate mint strawberry cheese cake, im wierd and in know but i enjoy doing it, it really is a hobby and with the amount of money ive spent on vaping supplies, ive saved about 200 dollars after my spending. ive been tobacco free going on one month, smoked an anolog the day my wifes grandfather passed away, but since then not one.

I'm nearly sure it will come down to DIY juice-making one day.

Seriously, it's way cheaper. I can e-smoke my brains out and with the prices of smokes here, I'll be breaking even in just a month or so. Even with the cost of starting up! It's all about the juice. It's a real shame hardly anyone gets introduced to e-cigarettes the "right" way, refilling your own cartos n' stuff. We all have to suffer through the "gas station intro" to it.

Yeah, I'm loving it too. I started vaping only 2 days ago, and have been shocked that I haven't wanted an analog -- I've been smoking for 45 years!!

For me, personally, I try to not stress on the cost issue and instead focus on the good from eliminating all the wicked bad crap that is in analogs.

I have no doubt that I'll be having rough moments now and then, and occasionally stress over the cost of this hobby, so I attached one of the "stopped smoking" banners to my signature block as a motivator -- it will be really nice to see the "avoided analogs" counter ratchet up as well as the $ value saved from not smoking as an offset to the cost of vaping.

Welcome to the forum, best wishes, and hang in there!

Welcome! I am glad you made the switch. I don't really keep track of how much we've spent because we were smoking two to three packs of unfiltered Lucky Strikes a day. Those things are over seven bucks a pack if you find a cheap store. Also, I don't feel like crap anymore.

I'm sort of split on the whole gas station e-cig thing. I think it puts a lot of people off because it doesn't work and they get discouraged about the whole thing and give up. Sounds like you've already made a lot of progress. Glad to have you among our ranks.

Woohoooo! Indoor smoking !!! Specially nowadays can't stand cold weather in Cali, now I don't have to go in the backyard. I can vape n play black ops2. And the best part is taking a dump n vaping like I use to do when I was in the Philippines. Lol
