Hope this answers your question!
Actually, yes, yes it does. Thank you both! The actions of the Chinese manufacturing sector are fascinating to me.
Here's why.
I've been working with electronics for 20 years now and have had a front row seat as OUR manufacturing moved first to Mexico and then to China. I have seen the same identical
devices made in all
three locations. Likewise, the quality of Chinese goods has advanced rapidly... VERY rapidly over time. Yet their legal system, infrastructure, etc. has lagged. So when I see a flood of "stuff" from over there, like e-cigs for example, it makes me curious as to what's next or what riddle, wrapped in a conundrum, cloaked in an enigma may be behind it. It often ends up being State Factory #9, Hangshou Province, or some other oddity run by the Gov there. It's just odd. More than once I have been confronted by well made pieces of equipment which have been made completely unservicable by an absolute lack of support over here and it may be completely, utterly impossible to find a trace of where the thing was made! it's like the factory and organization that ran it never existed on the face of the earth. And that has left me shocked on more than one occasion. The same thing seems to be at work in regards to e-cigs. Lots of nearly identical "stuff" without clear indication of origin.
So, for me, it is a version of professional curiosity.
