Yay! Pipe Cleaners

Posting this here so other new people will see it.

Pipe Cleaners, the real ones (not the craft chenille stem ones) are fantastic for cleaning tanks, clearing out condensation, blocking center tubes while filling them, etc.

Sorry if it seems like I'm reinvented the wheel, but it took a while before I figured this out myself, and then once I knew what I was looking for I found it mentioned here and there in other threads. Thought I might save some other people some time and frustration.

Yeah, I bought 1,000 a year ago and may never get through all of them. They do a fine job.

I find that toothpicks and a small roll of toilet paper (if you're not too proud) are darn handy too.

LOL I use the same method... but with tissue instead of tp I like the pipe cleaner idea though!

OH! I'm gonna start plugging up my center tube with a paper towel now! I know it has nothing to do with pipe cleaners but I hadn't thought of this before so thanks for the post!

I used to tear tissues into four pieces until I decided to take the lazy way out. But it takes some time for some people to come grips with a roll of toilet paper on their desk. Me? Not so much.

Yeppers, I'm fairly new to vaping, but I always keep real pipe cleaners in my firearms cleaning box. A package has already made its way into my vape box, and I keep one next to my keyboard here. I don't care for the TP paper "leave-behinds" or cotton swab fibers getting stuck.

I'm having one heck of a "why haven't I thought of this" moment right now. I already have Q-tips, toothpicks, paper clips and bobby pins in my vape case, but pipe cleaners seem like such a no-brainer that I'm a little bit ashamed of myself.

Couldn't easily find real ones, so i got the "craft" ones - they work OK, just run a hand along them first to get the loose lint off.
I cut them in quarters, and then you have FOUR TIMES as much - probably at least a years worth of swiping through the air tube...

If you try to get "pipe cleaners" in Wally World.....they'll look at you like you have 6 heads!!!
In the World of Wally.......they're "Fuzzy Sticks"....yeah, in the Craft section.....!!!
Can't beat 99 cents for 50!!

I know that feeling. The moment I thought of them I was wondering why it took so long. I ordered a big package from Amazon, and since I cut them in half that should last a long time.

Up until then I'd been twisting tissue into strips or pulling cotton off of swabs to try to fit them in. That's why I thought I should spread the word.
